They're totally different. If it weren't for the same name on the label I'd never associate the two.

Well, I had a $1.00 off coupon for Copenhagen, so I stopped at the corner gas station and picked up a can of the Pouches. I'm gonna attempt to "snus" it. I'll report back with details.

Have you no fear of the gods of Snus or their terrible and swift wrath

Copenhagen is like a training bra and Grov is like Halle Berry.

Grov tasted like cope when I first tried it, but not any more. Still one of my faves.

              Copenhagen "snus" experiment

Well, to me, Grov or Ettan portions do not smell or taste anything at all like Copenhagen Pouches. True to my word, I opened a can of Copenhagen Pouches I picked up. Date on the bottom was made on Aug 31 2009, so I guess that's OK. But right away, it did not smell like snus at all. And the pouches were BIG. It was like a can of slugs. Now I am not a dipper, and have very little experience in my few trials(and errors). I was determined to "snus" this. As an experiment to see how it compares with snus. I was thinking it might be sweet and have that sting that previous dips gave me. But I took out the pouch, kinda pressed it alittle, and upper lipped it. It was big, but not too bad. But the taste... hmmm, it's very peculiar, very... what is it? wood? Almost like a mouth of cedar. Not near as good as snus, nor as flavorful. It was not terribly bad, and in the upper lip it did not drip much, and I did not, nor felt the need to spit. I kept it in about 2 hours, switching sides once. Other than the much bigger pouch, and odd woody taste, it wasn't terrible, but can't say it was good either. It did seem to leave a slight full mouth aftertaste, that later I stuck in a Probe Whiskey and couldn't taste it at all for a little while, and it made me feel the need to brush my teeth. The object of this experiment was to see if any American dip pouches could substitute for "snus", and be good. Maybe another brand/flavor would be better? I cannot say this was a Pass, but it was not undoable.
