I know this an old post, but I'm new here, searched for this problem, and this old thread came up. Anyhow I'm also struggling with this now that I'm on a diet. I try to only take a portion after a meal (which helps a lot, but is tough when I want to snus between meals). I use General Snus exclusively, have for about a year, and agree that the white portion is way less of a problem. Thanks for the tip about placing it further to the front, I'll try that. So far, the best other modification for me is taking some ginger right before, like the ginger you eat with sushi.

Over the counter zantac (ranitidine) will take care of that sour stomach in most cases.

Thanks phantom. I have tried that, and it does help. Surprisingly, the ginger seems to help a bit more (at least for me). I switched from Zantac (was also trying Prilosec) to ginger because I'll be dieting for at least a month, so I wasn't sure I wanted to be on a med that long. Also tried a spoonful of baking soda, which also helped. I may be an outlier, but the ginger has honestly been the best remedy so far. By the way, I'm snusing right now with the portion closer to the front and it definitely seems to be helping. Thanks again.

If your using whites and putting it close to the front of your mouth my only suggestions would be to echo having water. I found drinking water helps dilute the drip and made it easy on the stomach when I first started. The second is that you CAN spit, I still spit on occasion when I'm outside doing something. My problem when I first started was that I use to dip, so everytime I'd think about swallowing it was against my training as a dipper. Keep at it, you can always just eat some chalk or tums to settle your stomach, and don't be afraid to try a different brand. Maybe it's something in General that bugs your tummy
