0102 Review thread.

I have a can each. The 01 is open and I use it regularly.

Nothing really stands out as remarkable, flavor-wise. It's earthy and salty, like a really subdued PM 1847. The earthiness is toned down way down and the salt is pronounced. The portion itself is very comfortable. I wish they'd shape more portions this way. It's the one thing Camel did right with their products - they made them very mouth-friendly.

The can is pretty cool, too.

So after ten days and about a can of 02, I've really started to enjoy this snus a lot. The subtle yet present flavor and strong nicotine combined with the more comfortable portion shape is a real win.

OK, so I guess I have to be the first one to say this. I don't like the sahpe of the portions. It isn't more comfortable to me, it is just longer. I have NO issues with the shape of all the rest of the portions. I have been using for 3 years and I love my snus.

The longer portions just feel strange in my mouth. I have finished a can of both 01 and 02 and can't see why folks are raving about it so much.

Funny you should say that. I've used several 02s a little along, and just last night I thought, "I think it's too long. I can't move it around as much." I guess it shouldn't matter, since it's basically everywhere at once, but it does. Like you, I like to play with the portion (although we may play differently, and there is nothing wrong with that).

I haven't had nearly the time you have to get used to the traditional portions, but maybe that plays into it anyway. It's still early yet, but I did have that thought last night, so it's interesting you should say this.

Umm, I use whites, "no drip" is a non issue for me, don't see why I should have to try and adapt it to like it.

My lip has gotten used to a 3 notch load from my 3ml Icetool.

Since playing around with loose snus is not really practical it's not an issue.

So for me both 01 and 02 FEEL just right in my lip.

I like the flavor just fine, but I wish it were a bit stronger.

Meant to add, in my response to Sage, that I suspect my muzzle is a little smaller than average. Two clicks seems about right for me; more and the backend of the pris tends to get muddy. Just like everything else, no one thing suits everybody.

I like the flavor just fine, but I wish it were a bit stronger.

I'm still not ready to "review" the flavor of 02, and I haven't even broken open the 01 yet, but I already think I'd be up for an 03.

that is exactly why i just bought a roll of 01. 3 click pris is my jam.

See?? Maybe that is why I am not the huge fan. When I use an icetool, my pris is about once click, I just like them smaller, a standard portion just "fits" right where I keep in in my mouth

Just received mine today (01) and have only had two portions. My first thoughts were a very nice bag feel and a good nic hit. I kept them in for about 20 to 30 minutes and there was no noticeable drip.
Flavorwise I hardly could detect anything until I spit the portion out and went over the spot with my tongue. For me at least this snus is very bland if not one of the blandest I have ever tried. I hope after some more portions and time I will somehow detect more flavor.

No, you two are not alone. I've been folding lengthwise since the beginning a couple of years ago. I've also been using the 01 and don't love the portion because I can't fold it.

Flavor is o.k. (if a but underwhelming) and the "no drip" is IMHO a marketing gimmick. I don't think it is really much different than most folded whites in the drip department but I don't like the feel of this particular portion in my mouth because it is too long. I'll definitely finish the can but I won't be buying rolls.

I, however, licked that baby and jammed it up with my tongue and actually got some flavor in a short burst. It does have a Decent nic hit. But there are other snuses I like much better, are shorter, and I can fold them.

Yay, 3 people in "what the fu** is all this slobbering about 01/02" club. Reason I finally spoke up. I knew I couldn't be alone in this but figured that with all the slobbering going on, no one wanted to say something.
