Did they throw the kitchen sink at Onyx?

I got a can of General Onyx after laying off it for a long time. Now that my snus palette is a little more refined it seems like I can taste a lot of different flavoring in Onyx. Bergamot, citrus, juniper, yes I said juniper!

What flavors do you detect in Onyx?

Well for me, as one who is still a sorta newbie... maybe intermediate by now to snus in general, and have used Onyx a few time, but not yet a can, the prominant flavor I get, is lemon. I don't get juniper.

Lemon Pledge dust spray and then Tobacco. Not that it is bad. I really like Onyx. It's just what I thought of the first time I had it.

Now that said, I've only used two portions thus far, so I'll have to spend some more time with it. That was just my initial take.

How does the lemon stack up to Gotlandssnus Yellow? Better/worse?

SM describes it as: "A snus remarkably full in flavor, with a complex blend of spices and a persistent aftertaste"

So maybe I'm not too far off with the kitchen sink analogy!

Worse IMO. I buy Onyx occasionally. Gotlands is in every order (lös especially).

Onyx is too lemon-y for everyday all day use

Don't forget the licorice. I definitely taste licorice in there.

Gotland is more an herbal bergamot than lemon. Someone described Onyx as tasting like a lemon tart, and I agree. I prefer the Gotland also.

              Edit:
              added content.

Maybe I'll try the los, but I couldn't stand the portion Gotlands. I will def. be buying Onyx in my next order though. I've been curious about it since I first started snusin, (back in June, a lot of people were talking about it) but never managed to order it.

                    It's something alright.

I'm surprised so many people actually like it.

                    Can be overwhelming at first.
