Brand Loyalty ?

I guess I am a little different than everyone else! I say this because when i started snussing I found what i liked on my first order and really havent gone exploring into any thing else i just don't see the need!
The only snus I have tried are as follows....
For Los....General, Roda, Ettan, goatsrape, prima flint, kronan, probe,and grov. I had one tin of each of these and los just wasnt for me and I only used like 2-3 whole tins and gave the rest away!

For portions... General extra Sterk, Jak's ice fruit, Onyx, Thunder frosted and wg, and recently skruf, and I am going to try claq Qui, tonight!

And those are the only snus i have ever had! The only ones I order regularly are General extra sterk, Jak's ice-fruit, THUNDER FROSTED, and skruf I think I might like since it is so bland! and maybe claq qui, after i try it! I only buy rolls so my orders are very easy to make 1 roll general extra sterk, 1 roll jak's ice fruit 1 roll thunder frosted a couple cans of skruf, a can or 2 of onyx and thats it!

Now those may be the only snus I use but I have used at least 2-3 rolls of each to this day! i think i have used 3 rolls of frosted, 5 of general extra sterk and 3 od ice fruit! And maybe 5 tins of onyx!

snus in Sweden

In Sweden, snus is available primarily in small independent retail shops who dedicate most of their floorspace to horse-betting. Snus is available in coolers which are similar to the average Pepsi cooler. 90% of the brands are from SM, and F&L, Skruf and JTI make up the rest + a bit of Taboca. NO Gotland, NO V2.

As the coolers themselves are primarily the property of Swedish Match, and all major companies are distributed by Swedish Match Distribution, you can guess that their control of the market for snus is quite unbreakable. General, as a brand, and in all its forms, is around 60% of the total 200m can market. SM's 90% is General, Ettan, Rape and Grov. Anything else is truly a spit in the ocean. Last time I asked the head of Skruf/Imperial if he was going to invest in coolers, he answered "what's the point?"

Some Swedes will upgrade for a night out to Montecristo or Onyx. The 7-11 on Stureplan (Stockholm's center of chic) sold out of MC every Friday night. Then, they'll use the chic can for their General the rest of the week.

No my friend, too wise to the ways of snus to get my heart broken. Yes, NOT easy. But as in the other parts of my life, I know I will find love again.

The most reassuring thing I've read today. Words of wisdom. I have found love in snus and ran from the evils of smoking. Now I will run from the evils of women and someday return to them. But not anytime soon.

I agree. 2 years for me. It's been getting easier, but it's hard when you build a life with someone in your home town, create new memories, and can't escape them. I'm just now getting over it.

I smoked Camel Filters, in a box exclusively for the whole time I smoked. I decided when I was younger that if I couldn't smoke what I wanted (name brand) it wasn't worth it.

I find that I use 90% GR #2, but I always mix in other brands. I typically take two or three bands each day with me.

I have been stretching out my last bit of GR #2 since I have 20 cans of snus that I don't use much trying to whittle them down some, but in the end, I love GR #2

I´ve tried some of the newer brands, but i´ll allways return to "the real stuff"
Ettan is still number one for me and then i´ll mix with General, Grov and Skruf, maybe it´s different for me because I´ve used snus for more than 38 years, and in the "beginning" there wasn´t so many brands to choose from(and for sure, no fruit flavours at all) At work and around my friends i´ll dont se much of the flavoured snus, no offence to anyone on this forum, but here in Sweden it´s kind of girly to use flavoured snus....

Well, hope not :wink: But you have so many different brands/flavours to go thru, so I´ll guess it will take some time to come to the definitive decision for the snus users over there, but as i read the posts here on snuson, I can see that most users has predominantly found the "basic" taste....
