Now I like sweet snus. Triumph is still my favorite and swedish is growing on me more and more but I would love something less sweet then Discreet or Triumph but still sweet. Something half as sweet even. I can't even imagine Camel if it is sweeter then those two.

I'm really starting to build in my mind a dream snus that is an unflavored mini higher potency kinda like the thunder minis everyone talks about and with just enough sweet to override the saltiness. As a cigar smoker I am looking for very subtle flavors so that the tobacco is still the star of the show.

Same here, mostly anyway. I like mint and licorice, and LD Blue's juniper was tasty, but I'm not big on the "candy" type flavors. They're good, but it doesn't click with me for a tobacco product.
        I agree with this.

But, that is just an opinion. I do have about 5 packs of Discreet, but they won't get used before my traditional cans of snus get used. As an occasional treat maybe, but nothing more. I prefer the tobacco taste and the normal tobacco flavored Discreet tasted horrible, like a wet cigarette that was halfway burned. But, the other snus hits the nail on the head in what it's trying to accomplish.

        I am also a biased anti-mini-fascist! Mini = NEIN!!!!

I think I just got spoiled but what I consider a quality traditional Swedish snus. And since I started on the sweet Camel Mellow's, that this sorta burned me on any other variations of sweet, no matter how much better quality it is than its predecessors.

He does pump out a great product for the market that it is targeted for, and he is getting people to quit smoking by using his product, so a big congratulations to him. I am not going to smear his product, because it's a good quality product, just not one for me. That is just my opinion, and the majority of the people here really enjoy it and for good reason.

Now, if he came out with a buffalo wing snus..

        Thanks,

Now you're talking ... buffalo wings and beer snus! Or how about
              Guinness Stout Snus?

              Bat

                I'd try that one.

Also, I think I may be getting some headaches from the Discreet but Ive been try not to relate the two in my mind.

What could be in Discreet that could be causing headaches?

Now that it was mentioned, a few weeks ago when I ran out of my normal Snus.. I was heavily using the Discreet that tom sent me.. And I did have headaches almost all day every day for a week! I did not even think that it could be the snus, or it could have been withdrawls since I use Thunders all the time and suddenly went down to Discreet.

Discreet uses saccharin. If you are sensitive to that, and some are, maybe the reason.

Anyone have any idea what sweetener Triumph uses? I know Swedish Match is pretty transparent about this kinda stuff could I email them or something?

OMG, I can't believe it I put in a Discreet and it only took like ten minutes and I got a headache. I'm totally bummed, I had high hopes for this snus. I've got a whole box of strawberry in my freezer and Tom sent me an email that my samples that hadn't come would be shipped tomorrow. Now I guess all of my smoker freinds will be getting free samples from me and I'm still stuck with Triumph being my only "American" style snus.

                        Discreet Root Beer

                        I am in HEAVEN.

My samples arrived yesterday, didn't get to try them until tonight, but all I can say is WOW. Tom has done something magical. When I opened up the little silver bag that said simply "Root Beer" on it, no ad, no logo, I was impressed with the intoxicating aroma that came out. It smelled like the old soda shop we used to go to as a kid, where that had root beer on tap and made the old fashioned floats there.

After putting one in, the taste was no different! It tastes just like it smells, and the taste is even stronger - it's like a Root Beer float. They have truly captured the essence, the smell, the taste of Root Beer in this. The taste stays strong the whole time, not too sweet, but tasting just like the name on the bag.

I can't say I was suprised, because Discreet has been nothing but wonderful. Grape, Orange, Strawberry - everything I have tried so far has been great. But this, GOODNESS, this takes the cake.

                          Sigh....

Tom e-mailed me yesterday. He wasn't sure mine went out or not, but he said he would make sure Monday at the latest.

                          But exactly what I expected.

You will love it. It's probably the best flavor I've ever had in a snus. *cue comments about flavored snus lovers*

Would anyone like to trade me a pack of Root Beer for a pack of Juicy Orange?

This stuff sounds great. I've got the "available" flavors of Discreet in the mail and I'm looking forward to trying them.

The big question though: How long do you think the flavored Snus will go unnoticed by the bureaucratic nanny-thugs in the US?

Anything that a lawyer could argue might remotely attract minors toward tobacco is endangered, in my opinion.
