The big question though: How long do you think the flavored Snus will go unnoticed by the bureaucratic nanny-thugs in the US?
Anything that a lawyer could argue might remotely attract minors toward tobacco is endangered, in my opinion.

*Most* of us would never use a snus that contained sugar. I have ZERO interest in keeping sugar in my mouth for 8 hours. My teeth would all fall out within a year. I'll take my chance with saccharin thank you very much.
You don't want, that's fine.

Ragnar did raise a point that I had thought of while reading this entire thread. It's not paranoia. It's real. Cigs lost flavors a few days ago. A battle is on now over flavored "little cigars". Surely no one thinks the "save the children" brigade will remain silent once they learn Root Beer snus (which can be hidden from teachers, parents and responsible adults!) is being sold. What's next: bubblegum flavor?
Swedish snus is an acquired taste. Sorry, but it is. It's not tasty stuff. Kids aren't likely to go "yum" when they first try it. But Discreet doesn't require any adjustment period. Every piece I've tried has been delicious. You don't think that might ring bells among the nannies? Think again.
It does worry me. Lately, it seems that whatever I find enjoyable, those looking out for my health and well-being want to ban.

So in the mean time, I will keep happily buying my made with saccharin Discreet, especially when I can buy Root Beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!> Hopefully, I can help him get bigger so it all can become better in time. But I like what I can have today, saccharin works with me fine, so I am happy.

Cost right now, saccharin just dirt cheap compared, also doesn't have certain issues aspartame has. But if Discreet takes off, I am sure Tom will continue to work on improving for a while. I wouldn't be surprised to see him eventually make a switch when it can be done financially and makes the taste as good if not better.

On the other hand, why I just love Tom as much as I do. He is, maybe not intentionally, but still. Giving a giant finger to all the nannyists. But I am not so stupid to know they won't win in the end. They have the power right now. So, like everything else, I am gonna keep my head in the sand and keep loving my Discreet moments....coming soon in Root Bear!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I agree. Why I enjoy it at least while I can. If it gets taken away, at least I can say I didn't miss it.

the thing about artificial sweetners and with discreet, may be more mental for me than anything. i mean i dont much care for its taste, but its by no means bad, its just not something i find i have much interest in. but the real thing for me, is i just feel gross after using it. same way i would feel gross drinking a diet coke. i prefer real sugar, but like sage says you dont want sugar resting just above your teeth. so i may have said my last words about discreet, as i bow out and let those that actually enjoy it continue to talk about it, but im pretty much done with it, and not likely looking back.

cant believe im already going back on what i said about not talking about discreet anymore, but i just got my hands on the swedish style, in my mouth now.
NOT BAD, TOM! its pretty good stuff! i think id even buy some if it were in full size portioned form. maybe even as the minis. kudos for this snus, the only discreet ill get behind.

You saw my review I did few weeks back, yes???
Big reason I am such a Discreet fan. I have had it all (except Root Beer, I see what Tom is doing in the big picture. Even if you aren't a sweet fan, I see so much future in Discreet when Tom finishes where he is going. I have said over and over, The Swedish style may almost be as good as my beloved Retro. I too need it regular size. But taste?? Tom hit it dead on. This was really huge news to me too. First time ANY American co did Swedish as good as the Swedes.
So yeah, as much as I like some of the sweet as such. Knowing that Tom could do Snus too. That is when I fully fell in line bad pimp discreet with a completely open heart. The Swedish really were that good IMHO.
