New, kinda...again

Hello.

So... I began to quit smoking at the beginning of the year with American moist snuff (harm reduction), found snus around the end of March, went ape poop and ordered a whole mess of different snus, tried them all and wound up going back to American snuff after about a month of trying many different brands of snus.

I think I got overwhelmed with the sheer ammount of options and gave up on it out of laziness. (I can be super lazy)

I gave the snus to a coworker who was trying to quit and he is now a happy snuser

About a week ago I found a can of General Los in the back of the freezer and figured I'd use it up.

I haven't dipped since.

I bought a roll of General los and whites and think I found my snus. I really enjoy the flavor of General and, yet again, am excited about snus!

I'm sure I'll order a can of GES next time to try it out but I'm back on the wagon and hope to stay on it this time.

I guess it takes a bit of time for some to really click with snus. I'm glad you found a brand you're happy with, and the mood was right for a change :^)

My one worry would be that you might burn out on a single brand. Thus I would recommend that you throw just one can of something different in with every order. That way you will know what's out there in case you ever need it, yet without overloading your senses.

That said, I know a lot of folks here use only one brand and have for years with no problem. So it might not ever even be an issue for you.

Snusdog, that is an awesome wealth of information in that post. I wish I had read it six months ago... it may have kept me on the straight and narrow as I will be referring to it in times of "chemical weakness". I definately will try other flavors but not the way I did it last time. I had 20 different flavors all at once, some sweet but most were more natural flavors, and just overloaded myself. I knew what dip I liked and went back to it. I gave in to "the familliar" and when I put in that first pris of General it felt familliar and was just right. I guess it was the right time for me.
