My First True Convert is Because of Discreet!

I got 8 packs of samples in the mail from Tobacco Tom (If you're reading this, thanks!) and really like the strawberry especially.

I think Discreet is the solution for me in terms of my search for an excellent mini, for a snus to enjoy when it has to be absolutely invisible. But of course— for me— it won't replace the good Skruf Stark Lös, N&J and GES. It will just be an adjunct to it.

But I have a friend who's been playing the usual games with the struggle to quit smoking for about a year now. Patches one day, cigarettes the next, then cold turkey etc... He's tried but can't get into Swedish snus, but has now gotten seriously enthusiastic about Discreet Peach, and ordered a bunch of it online. He's still unsure whether to eventually wean off nicotine altogether, but no longer feels the need to smoke, and is finally relaxed about the issue, enjoying Discreet Peach snus.

So I finally have a true convert, FWIW. It's an American taste-bud thing, I guess.

Why I love Discreet. I have given to two separate people in less than a month, could never do that with Swedish.

This lady I work with, her husband has been trying to quit smoking for years. I guess hes tried the patch, the gum, hypnosis, classes (like AA for smokers), you name it. So I told about snus, and how I was smoke free after only like a week after my first snus order arrived. He seems really excited. I gave him a few different portions of Discreet, a few Mini-Mints, and a few General Wintergreens. The next day he had me order him two of each Discreet flavor, a can of Mini, and a can of Wintergreen. He seems like he wants to quit bad enough that snus just might be his saving grace. I can now literally say it saved my life, because before I found snus, I couldn't quit no matter what I did. With snus it was just so easy!!

Congrats on the convert. I tired giving my mom some of those General samplers, but she lost them. This weekend, I'm gonna try Discreet, since I'm up to my ears in packs of it.

Yah, about a month ago, the forty-something gal down the hall, a committed 3/4-pack a day smoker, was kvetching about always getting ancy halfway through all her daily meetings. She'd never heard of snus, wasn't sure how she'd like the flavor, and didn't like the sound of "drip." I delivered a couple of General white portions to her along with a self-made flier about types, flavors, how-to and where to find snus around town.

She made no comment about the General, but did present herself after her first attempt, with the portion stuffed directly at the front of her mouth. " 'Mm I doing somfing wrong?" and the portion popped out into her hand.

I gave her a new package of Discreet Cool Mint the next day. "Almost as much nicotine as a standard size portion, the last time Tobacco Tom checked."

The minis worked for her, and she's going through a pack of them a week, now. Not interested in regular use as a smoking substitution, but "if I ever get serious about quitting cigarettes, this stuff will be part of the plan."

I've got to get around to trying some Discreet. I'm guess I'm just waiting on the Tomahawk los
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Man, I wish I could get my mom to even consider trying snus. Shes been smoking 2 packs a day since she was like 15. She breathes horribly, gets winded easily, and hack like shes coughing up a lung. I fear that if she doesn't quit soon, it'll be too late.... :? She thinks snus is like, just some "fad" and wont even take the time to learn anything about it. Any suggestions?

You can only show someone the path, you can't force them to take it. This fad's 200 years old now. I'm not sure when it's gonna quit being new :^D

Older, even, than the "fad" we know as modern cigarettes.
