Arrrgh! I'm down to my last few portions!!!

    Hi,

I'm a newbie with snus. I was a nasel snuff user up until a few weeks ago but was forced to give it up due to emphysema. Snus seemed to be the best way to get my vitamin N with only a bit of risk.

My first exploratory order was one can of general Wintergreen and one of camel white portion. I loved the wintergreen and made a new order soon after I finished it!

Now I am on my last three portions of Camel and I'm still waiting for my order. Can't believe I'm getting twitchy for snus so quickly. Bloody Post Office!!

It's a good sign, means you are making the transition well.

A few tips to make it easier next time. Folks in UK are finding the combination Swiss Post/ Royal mail combo NOT working well lately. Supposedly, Fed Ex is only a bit more expensive, and orders reliably will get to you in 4 days or so.

Learn from experience.... Try to get to a point where you always have at least 10 cans on hand when you order. My number is 20 cans at least. I once had to wait for three weeks, and ran out too. I hoard now.

And if I haven't said already, welcome to Snuson midnightmosesuk

Thanks for the welcome Sage! You sound like a guy who knows his onions

I'm awaiting 5 cans of General Wintergreen, one Monte Cristo portion, one Northerner energy and a General Onyx. I want to start using los at some point but feel it may be a bit advanced for me. I'll certainly take your advice and start stockpiling now I know I like this stuff!!

midnightmosesuk, as in life, the only way to learn is to do.

One suggestion. Eventually try out Elyxr compared to Northerner's. *Most* people strongly prefer the Elyxr

I heard the Elixyr tasted foul. That kind of put me off. I'll try some in the next order.

Definitely tastes more "off" than Northerner. But I can tolerate it fine. But it is about the effects. Northerner's made me feel horrible, Elyxr makes me feel good. HUGE difference to me, and I know many others.

We don't use these for the taste.

Nasal snuff can give you emphysema?

The jury is out on that one TOaO. I think it contributed to it but it was felt on the forum I was on that I was wrong. I was a bit of a heretic as far as they were concerned. The answer is, I can't be certain. :?

I just can't imagine how that would be possible unless you were using it wrong and breathing it too far in. But if done right and only so far as the inside of the nose, how can that affect your lungs at all???

hey midnightmosesuk... I remember you well from snuffhouse. I haven't been there (or here either) for a long while. Just wanted to wish you well with snussing. Also, sorry to hear about the emphysema. Not inhaling combustible tobacco products (ever again) is very wise, but I have to agree with sagedil (and probably many others)... in that I can't fathom in the least, and for the life of me, just how in any way, shape or form... snuff can affect your lung function. You may say the jury's still out, and that you can't be certain... but as long as a fear-based mindset overrules fact and common sense... well... ya gotta do, what you gotta do. I hope it all clears-up with you! -Rob

Welcome to the world of snus midnight, nice to see you here. I did happen to see that thread at snuffhouse and feel that the reaction you got from a couple was quite unfair, ie I felt that you should have been treated better whether they agreed with you or not.

But anyways, that was about snuff and this is about snus, so welcome aboard!
