Yesterday, I tried Offroad Licorice for the first time and good god oh mighty it was terrible. The smell was awful and the taste was even worse. When I put it in , I didn't have it in for 5 minutes and literally puked. I don't know what people see in this crap, but good lord it was terrible. I like some of the other kinds v2 makes now that I have gotten over my problem with their grind, but this was awful.

It's an acquired taste.
My first few months of using snus, ALL I used was Offroad Cranberry Strong and the Licorice Strong they still had. I was SO poor back then, every penny really did matter. But I was grateful when money became easier and I no longer had to buy the cheapest snus I could. Kinda amazes me now I stuck so long with it.
About once a year, I get the Licorice just to remember. Strange taste, but I kinda like it. But a bit like Elyxr in not how a snus should taste.

I like licorice and all but this was just awful. Catch licorice was ok not great but ok. This stuff on the other hand was just terrible. The flavor was just too strong and not for me. This is definitley an aquired taste to say the least. This is to me what level is to most of you.

No, I hated Level more, was just able to "accept" the taste of Offroad for what it is. Same way I was able to accept Elyxr. Still always a bit off first taste every morning. But I long ago came to accept and even enjoy in my strange way the taste of Elyxr as I love what it does for me.
Offroad was the same at the time. Had made decision to use snus to quit ciggs, needed the strong, Offroad was cheapest strong then, by almost a buck a can. I always knew it wasn't "licorice" as such, it was just a flavor I could tolerate sustained use. Before my Offroad stage, my 2nd Northerner purchase ever was a roll of Mocca Anise (Sad, sad, story, my own stupid rookie mistakes. Minis, not enough nicotine...fail...a whole freaken roll of fail. Never again.) Was maybe 6 months in before I had my first LD Black, and then finally knew that snus really could taste like licorice...
So I know what Offroad is not....BUT.. If you come in with open mind, it *can* be an interesting experience.

Having said that, V2 is making leaps and bounds with some of their newer brands. Oden's and Thunder both get good grades from me.

No No No, all I was saying was this particular snus was just awful to me. I like all Phantom, and Offroad except for this one. Some of the others I have tried weren't God Awful just meh ok( all makers). This one didn't set well with me. I do wonder why V2 hasn't tried making a cherry snus yet. I don't se SM doing it but mix cherry extract with Phantom classic and yummo it is good. I have tried Elixyr and it was ok(throw one in the catch lid every now and again. But, Offroad licorice, not for me. Sorry if the tread title stated otherwise, just a personal experince.
