    General Onyx

Damn this some good snus. I got a can in my Northerner try out box, and liked it well enough to buy a roll. Well it's been in my freezer awhile untouched because I wanted to use up my many open cans of snus. I was starting to question my purchase of a whole roll because of all the other good snus' I was using. I was wondering if it really was all that good, and that maybe I jumped the gun by buying a whole roll.

Well yesterday morning I opened it up and took a can to work with me. Man, I'd forgotten about how delicious it was. The total presentation is impeccable, even the pouches are softer, and have a nicer feel on the gums. Subtle flavors perfectly married, it doesn't get any better than this No doubts any longer. Onyx is hands down my favorite "standard" flavor snus.

Onyx is great, indeed. I ordered some this last time around and it's in my daily portion rotation. It's strong, though, so anyone reading who hasn't tried it needs to be ready for a burst of flavor instead of a hint of it.

Plus the tin, the portion material, and the arrangement inside the tin is very elegant.

I broke down and bought a few cans today. Seeing as how shipping anything is going to take longer once the holidays roll around, I wound up ordering 36 cans total. Should keep me satisfied well into December at least!

Having a bunch of almost forgotten money left over from my birthday sure is great when I get an urge to order massive amounts of snus.

The only problem that I have with it is that it costs way more then the other snus brands, and I'm not a really wealthy guy at the moment.
But I definitely agree that it has a ton of flavor, and that it's one of the premier snus brands.

          I like it a little.
It's by far the best of the flawored ones.
But I got sick of it quite quickly.

my big problem with it, is that you pay exstra for a fancy can
and the way the bags are aranged.

Onyx is by far my favorite!
My last order I only ordered 3 tins, along with several tins of "New to me".
I only have one tine of Onyx left, and have about 4 or 5 others open at the moment. So I was holding off opening the last tin of Onyx.

Well until I read this thread tonight.

Now I have 5 or 6 tins open
And enjoying a nice fresh, cold onyx.

              very good.

I just bought some General Onyx, very good I must say. Nice strong flavour and a good nicotine kick. The Tobacco is pressed into a nice small rectangle and fits nicely into the upper lip. I also really like the black pouch material, as it seems to resist breaking even under the most extreme squeezing and folding.

Buy far the best snus I have ever tried.

Definitely worth the extra 5 or so dollars.

5 extra dollars? Ouch... I think I pay that total shipped price. Oh well, at least you have a lot of interesting animals there

Mine too. I grow bored with all snus but not of Onyx. I don't think that the higher cost is only for the box or the arrangement of the packets inside.
Onyx is special because of it's unique flavor. That flavor lasts longer than any other snus i've tried (almost all). The only other snus thast i seem to never get tired of is Kronan.

However, i stopped using it. The high nicotine dose gave me irregular heartbeats (it may have been due to stress, exhaution, or coffee as well).
Anyway, i whish that they made an Onyx Light, with all the flavor but only 7 or 8 mg of nicotine per bag.

Onyx mini would be a great addition to the General line of Snus.

Okay, so I picked up my shipment this morning and opened up my first can of General Onyx.

First off, the smell was wonderful. Very pleasant aroma. I could detect a slight scent of liquorice and a semi-powerful sweetness.

Next, the portions themselves. The arrangement inside the can looked great and the portions were solid but very moist.

And as for the taste, all I can say is "wow." Add this one to my list of absolute favorites. The saltiness was perfectly balanced with the mild sweetness and the tobacco. The tingle on the gums was absolutely wonderful. And man, the nicotine kick was powerful, but surprisingly pleasant.

Overall, Onyx lived up to all the hype. While it won't be an all-day snus for me, it'll be something I always have in my fridge from here on out. Excellent.
