There is a beer store near where I live, and I noticed that they no longer have Camel SNUS ads anywhere, or any cans behind the counter. I asked the owner what happened, and he said that a lot of the stores in the area can't sell enough, and that RJ Reynolds is discontinuing it. Any truth to this? Sage, I'm sure you could chime in on this one.

Frost, Mellow, then Robust, then Infused.
They may indeed be adding those flavors, but unless you know something that everyone else doesn't, it's probably best not to use an old cigarette advertisement.

Yeah, but those are what Camel have been naming it's snus lately.
I have heard nothing of the sort, but nothing would make me happier. I always thought that the major cigarette companies would just screw snus up, and even worse, bring attention to where I wish it wasn't.
I would just rather let snus develop slowly here, and have true born in the USA companies like Discreet work to bring it out more, ALL under the radar of course.
But all I have read about Camel snus lately is how much money they are spending pushing it. It has been in a bunch of major magazines just this past month, so the idea that Camel would discontinue it makes no sense.

The only snus I've seen here so far are the different varieties of General, I wanna try Ettan, but not enough to order it online....I just wish I could go to the cigar shop and buy it there. Maybe eventually, they'll release different brands, I've had 2 people at work try General White, and they loved it and used it to quit smoking

Description of the flavors
Originally posted by justintemplerIn 2007 Reynolds came out with a cigarette line called Camel Signature
Available in 4 flavors.
Robust as “similar to notes found on cocoa and espresso”
Mellow as “accented with toasted honey”
Frost as “Fine Asian Mint… while the creamy finish delivers a smooth, buttery aftertaste”
Infused as offering “notes of Citrus” and “a sweet apple-like flavor.”
If I was a betting man, I'd say those are your four Camel snus flavors. 8)

Originally posted by SnusdogFor the life of me I cannot understand why so many of ya’ll are so insistent on having snus sold here in the USA by American distributors. The only advantage that I can see is if something like the Pact Act should pass. At that point I’m with you.
But for now, the only things selling snus in the USA will accomplish are:
1. Higher prices and taxes
2. Limited selection
3. Older product
4. And finally, snus that has begun to cut corners to keep up with the profit margins of American dip (there is a profit generated reason that American dip has a chemically enhanced shelf life)
I get the convenience of running down to the corner mart to grab a can because you left yours at home or ran out. But the long term cost of this occasional convenience just does not make any sense to me. Help me out here folks. What am I missing?
Note: sold to the USA and sold in the USA are two very different things. I am all for the first and extremely leery of the second. When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Maybe it's just me, but I hate bandwagon kids.
When Johnny Cash died, everyone was suddenly a fan. And "always has been." Same with Michael Jackson.
When Kevin Smith movies got big, everyone suddenly had all the originals and were talking about them, and I was like "Man, I was having this conversation in the 90's!"
Same with snus. Now I have friends who are using Camel "SNUS" and are acting like their "elite" with their cool new product. I don't brag about what I use or make a big deal out of it in public. Online, I talk about it ALOT on here, hell I even have a website about it. But I talk with people who are fellow users and have used it a long time. Not to use the word "elite", but I would use the word "non-bandwagon-kids", if there's a word for that. I can't stand that.
