    THANK YOU!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on the forum. I've been spying on you guys without your knowledge for a few months & figured it was time to make it official. All of you have been a huge help in my quest to quit smoking and it is greatly appreciated. I was a pack or more a day smoker for 35 years. Started e-cigs in April 09, still had the urge to smoke, but did pretty good. Found camel frost in July & found, along with the e-cig, the urge to smoke was pretty well gone. Found this forum a few days later and with your help (again, without your knowledge, sorry) learned about real snus and started to make my wish list. Now, 3 months later I am 100% smoke free with no desire to smoke - ever. Have 4 packs in the freezer that I look at every now and then and smile. Then I look at my 90 can stash of snus right next to them and smile even bigger. Thanks you guys, you helped save my life.

        Welcome!

I, too, was a lurker for a long time before I finally started posting about a week ago. And I, too, started with the e-cig but found it wasn't quite cutting the mustard, so I'm now using a combination of e-cig and snus, which is working beautifully.

(Or would be, if the damn post office hadn't misplaced my package for four days before finally sending it in my general direction! Arrgh!)

Anyway, welcome aboard. The community here is awesome.

Harder now that I DON'T have a job. Just limit my computer time, not where I want to fall into every day. Still manage to do my part.

Look at my sig. You're the woman. I'm the bear.

That's what's going to happen if you smoke again.

what's the old phrase? "everytime you smoke chuck norris punches a child in the face?" and you don't want that.

As I just posted in BurningChrome's thread:

When I quit smoking not long ago (also by using snus), I also started running two miles a day, to counteract the weight gain you always hear about....and so far I've LOST 20 pounds! I weighed in at 197 this morning, I was 220 when I quit. This is the first time I've been below 200 pounds in 10 years! My new goal is to hit 185, which is where I'm supposed to be. Its amazing how hard I can now push myslef without getting winded, or hacking up a lung.

Keep it up! Youll find that your body will start to just want the snus, and cigarettes won't even cross your mind.

And throw those cigs you got stashed in the freezer away! Ditch the temptation! Or do something cool like blowing them up with a twelve guage....

....At least that's what I'd do
