So I started with snus back in June. First try was a Marlboro US made "SNUS". It wasn't really that bad, but didn't give me the nic hit I needed to get off the cigs. A couple days later I found a tobacco shop in the area, so I picked up a can of General White. I had already started reading this forum, so I was expecting the salt, but what I noticed most at first was a pepper taste. Anyways, I got used to it after a day or two. For the first couple weeks I smoked about one cigarette a day. It's now been a couple months since I smoked and I don't miss them AT ALL. Also, Thanks to the good people on Snuson for making this a good place to hang out.

I, too, lurked for a long time before I finally made a post here.

I know what its like to not miss the cigs, which seems bizarre, because not long ago I was an unrepentant smoker for life.

I have one now and then and am immediately reminded of why I no longer smoke. Cigarettes taste like crap now, and the nic hit feels way too harsh and unpleasant. Snus just seems like a superior nicotine delivery all around.

I liken it to sitting in a chair. Snus is like easing into a soft, comfortable recliner and cigarettes are like falling ass-first onto a rock hard stool. Both leave me sitting down but one is infinitely more enjoyable.

Enough rambling... sorry! I just finished the most brain-breaking project ever after a 17-hour long work day and I'm a wee bit retarded right now.

Glad you did the research and it is working for you. even happier you finally decided to peak up.

Given what you are liking so far, I strongly suggest you give LD White a try. Really the best white available these days IMHO

Yeah, I really do enjoy the white portions most, but I always keep an open mind and have tried many regulars out too. Haven't worked my way to los yet, but maybe someday. As you can see, I'm not a huge fan of the flavored varieties. I can handle Roda Lacket okay because it doesn't have a strong flavor. I keep getting Goat Rape as my mystery can from Getsnus, and I think they have a weird flavor that doesn't really appeal to me. The only snus I've had to prematurely spit out though was Gotlandssnus Green. It tasted good for about 15 minutes, then turned to this awful bitter flavor that almost made me sick. I threw the can away immediately. Unfortunate, because I would like to give it another shot. Sage, LD white will definitely be in a future order. Sounds like it would suit me well.

Welcome to Snuson AF. If you haven't found it already, check out the snus exchange in the Stores and Online Shops sub-forum. You can get rid of some Gote Rape and get something you like.

LOL, yeah, IO can't handle any of the Gotlands snus for that very reason, just too bitter for my tastes.

I started out using just flavored snus, then, about 5 months, went half and half, switched with each snus between flavored and non flavored. But a bit after 2 years, just really didn't like much flavored at all. About the only I do know is LD Black every other month maybe, and I use a bunch of Odens Kanel ES.

Other good non flavored is Grove. Ettan is extremely mild, not a huge favorite of mine, but good. And Gustavius is good I hear too, been a long time since I had it though.

LD White is really good though. Retro White was my favorite, and am having to find a suitable replacement for a snus I could use every day. LD White is the closest I found

Haha, AFormerSmoker, that does work In actuality, I started using AFSmoker on another forum related to smoking (barbecuing) meats. Just carried it over with me to Snuson.
