    UPS Destroyed my shipment!!!

So, everytime I have ordered from GetSnus, my orders have come USPS, until this most recent one, even though the quantity was the same as previous orders. (Jill says their computer randomly decides how it will ship) Number one, I always get the USPS orders in 3 days or less. This order I ordered on the 9th, and it wasn't due to arrive until the 16th, yesterday, as it seemed to have to sit at each UPS station for 2-3 days for some reason.

Anyways, it never arrived yesterday, so I go to the tracking site, and I Get "PACKAGE DAMAGED IN TRANSIT, UPS WILL NOTIFY SENDER WITH THE DETAILS"

    FU*K!!

So I call to try and get ahold of Jill, but it was her day off, so I spoke with Mathew. He checked the computer, and sure enough UPS had contacted them, and in fact the package was trashed. He told me to let them know when I place my orders, and they will make sure it gets sent USPS from now on. He also said he would re-send my order right away, Rush Shipping, and it will be to me within 1-2 days after it ships. He also promised to "throw in a little something extra" for the hassle.

Moral # 1 - GetSnus customer service is THE SH*T! Awesome! Unmatched!

Moral # 2 - UPS Fuxing Sux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that. It's a valuable lesson though. UPS is garbage. I've had a lot of trouble with them over the years. For all the bad mouthing USPS gets, they're my favorite shipper, and I can't really say anything bad about them.

I've only had a problem with UPS once. Three years ago, they lost (?!) a desk I bought online. Other than that, never an issue. I consider UPS reliable but slow.

In the last two months, USPS lost (but later found) two packages. A third package they tried to deliver, left the "come pick it up" tag on the door, then were unable to find it when we tried to pick it up... and that's pretty typical.

I love FedEx but they're usually expensive. Not sure about DHL since I've only had a dozen or so packages from them.

In any case, my condolences on the loss of your snus. Here's hoping their sibling tins fare better.

Me either but then I sleep with someone who works with the Post Office. Old gal started working with them the year we got married back in 1981. So I am one of the few people who doesn't complain when they raise the price of stamps. Helps pay the mortgage. Just hope it stays afloat until she retires.

Where I live in Illinois, UPS shipments from the east go through the Chicago hub first, which delays it by another day. USPS from getsnus is quicker by a day or two. I don't do much shipping, but I've found DHL to usually be a couple bucks cheaper than UPS and FedEx, and just as reliable.

Now if getsnus is gonna reship it fast, and give you some extras(all Offroad Apple for you) And they responded to you, I would not say their customer service is bad, just the opposite. I do agree they should not use UPS. If the item is so heavy, they could just charge more postage and mail it priority.

I'm not sure if you think he meant they are shit when it comes to service, but he put they are the shit, as in utter awesomeness.

Ahhhhh.... Yes, you are right. I misread it. But yes, getsnus does really try to get it right and keep their cutomers. Even though they recently sent me the wrong item twice.

UPS blows, but I dont understand it....they pay their people well.

I was sending a motorcycle exhaust to some cat in Cali from here in GA. OVER NINETY FREAKING DOLLARS with UPS...I said hold on a sec, and took it to the USPS....38 dollars with insurance and everything...got to the guy within a week.

USPS is way better and WAYYY cheaper.

I work in shipping and receiving, mostly doing customer returns, for a big company and I have to deal with UPS and the way they f**k up orders all the time. They give me a headache almost daily, so I feel you pain. Instead of "What can brown do for you?"
we always say, "how can Brown screw you?"

sounds like jill is a moron. If it's over a certain dollar amount --I think 50 bucks, they use ups. I hate ups too. I always go for usps. Fedex is also a great shipping company.

I don't think I've ever used UPS for anything. It's mostly been FedEx and USPS. Never had a problem with either. I've heard so much bad about UPS, figure they'd catch on after a while and learn.

Reminds me of the opening of Ace Ventura, when he's kicking the package everywhere.
                          <Guy> *shakes it* SOUNDS BROKEN
                          <Ace> ....most likely!

WTF digitalerik, I am so freakin sick of your nastiness here.

This isn't Jill's issue. Getsnus has ALWAYS been inconsistent how they send packages. She is absolutely right!! My first two orders done within a few days of each other were both under $30, and BOTH sent UPS. That pissed me off so I called Getsnus and made them put a note in never to again send UPS. If you have been paying any attention at all, you would have read that many folks have done the same thing

yeah, i do the same thing. What pisses me off is that she told me months ago that if the order was over 50 bucks they ship ups. Now they're telling people it's at random. It's a shame I have to bitch, but there are a lot of things that piss me off.
