I used to work in a FedEx sort facility and our general idea was that UPS was gentler on the packages then FedEx since UPS uses more automation. There was at least two more stations were a human had to sort the packages before they got to a truck and wow, we destroyed a lot of boxes. Especially the ones that would print logos for their candy on the outside of the box.

She is correct. If over $50, always UPS. Under $50, just a random whatever whether it is UPS or USPS

Sage is absolutely correct. Under $50 and it is kind of random, unless you let them know how you want it shipped. And I don't know why you would call her a moron, she has always given me some of the best customer service Ive ever had. And in no way was all this HER fault, it was those bastards at UPS. GetSnus didn't have to go out of THEIR way to make things right with me, but they do, because they actually CARE about their customers. She and everyone else there always make sure the customer is happy.

That statement was completely uncalled for.

I've had good luck with UPS & USPS.

The only beef I have is having to wait around for UPS when a signature is required, they are far less predictable on their delivery times.

I'd never want anything shipped UPS. They treat their packages like garbage. I know, I worked at FedEx Ground about 4 years, and I knew people who came from UPS. FedEx takes care of their packages infinite times better than UPS. I never really understood why anyone used UPS. All they have to do is take an unannounced dock tour to see how the packages are treated. Meaning they're tossed like trashbags, smashed, stepped on, and contorted in all different kinds of ways. Anyway, UPS is garbage.

So, UPS delivered the damaged shipment today for some reason, so I thought I'd take a photo. It looks like they literally ran this package over with the fuxing truck!! You can tell the box was smashed flat before they fluffed it back up and taped it all back together.

Most all of the cans were completely destroyed, crushed, all the snus laying in the bottom of the box. No way to tell them apart, as they're all white portion, so all the portions look the same from the outside. The rest of the cans are barely intact, but the lids are tweaked and the seals are broken on pretty much all of them. So Im sure they are dried out and no good as well as the stuff in the bottom of the box. Its actually kind of funny, how the hell do they damage a package this bad? At this point I doubt any of it would even be usable, even if I wanted to. Oh well, at least I can look forward to my replacement shipmment coming from the wonderful people at GetSnus!

Edit: This stuff will all definitely be thrown away, I tried a few portions, and they all kinda tasted like a mixture of gutter and toilet water, with a bit of raw sewage and mildew thrown in for good measure. Not knowing what actually happened, I'm not going to trust any of it. Trash.

Im wondering if, aside from being smashed, the package also got wet during the rainstorm last week while it was in transit. Maybe it actually fell off the truck, splashed down the road into a storm drain, and then got run over?!?! Oh well, in the trash they go, to begin their long journey to becoming compost in a land fill. Poor snus. You will be missed.

Here's just a sample of what makes up the lovely contents of this box:

Knowing UPS it was probably jumped on, ran over, crushed by other boxes since they toss whatever they can in a truck as put it wherever they can squeeze it, it got ran over, or all of the above. Point is: Use FedEx from now on. UPS is bad business. FedEx Ground, at least. I quit since it was a dead-end job, but at least they treat their packages better.

As for trying to figure out the mystery snus, just get a whif of it. If you've had the brand before you can usually tell by the smell. Then again it could be just a fun mystery.

Anyway, that's some impressive damage right there.

I really doubt there is much of a difference. If FedEx is indeed better its not by much from my experience up here at the Columbus Hub for FedEx ground. I worked there for over 3 years but I guess it was almost 10 years ago by now.

Well, that was ten years ago. Plus the Nashville hub I worked at was/is one of the top 3 in the nation. I guess that made a difference too. The difference is almost night and day as far as how they load trucks, how they check them, and even the van drivers. At least that's what people who worked at UPS and came to FedEx said. Everyone from package handlers, to service managers, to sort managers. Too bad it was a dead-end job. If you weren't you boss' drug buddy, drinking buddy, stripclub buddy you couldn't catch a break no matter how hard you worked.
