    Fuzzy Portions?

Anyone else here utterly turned off and disgusted by this? I've been meaning to bring this topic up for a loooooong time and just never did. Certain brands of, usually, original portion are made of material that comes apart and makes the portion look almost "hairy". Ugh...I first noticed this with Lucky's, but I loved them so much that I got passed it for the most part. Granit portions are the same way, at times. What made me bring it up is, I recently ordered 5 tins of Grov portion from GetSnus and every single one of the tins had many, many portions like this. Is it something in the actual snus that causes this? I CANNOT use a portion like this and when I try to pick the excess material off it usually becomes worse. What the hell is wrong with these portions? Or...am I just too damn picky? This is becoming a real issue for me.

The only ones I've really noticed that with are SMs black portions. It doesn't bother me at all, more just a recognition that it is. I'd say your best best is to reach in the tin without looking, grab a snus, and throw it in your mouth. They all look perfect then :^D

Really....hmm....I guess I could try that, but that would totally throw off my portion popping routine. The last order I made, I actually ordered on the basis of which portion does this the least!!! Too many times I've actually felt portion material in the back of my throat and gagged, but I will try, I guess.

I've noticed with with white portions that are generally softer, like Onyx, and recently General Wintergreen.

            Fuzzy does not bother me.

Slimy portions bother me. They still have flavor but slimy makes it hard to keep them in place.

There just portions, have never cared in any possible way. Portions are a bit like snowflakes, each one a tiny bit different. But all yummy. I can't imagine in a million years why this would be an issue

Neither fuzzy nor slimy bothers me, but the thick, rough, cardboardy V2 and Gotland portions are very uncomfortable to me.

Agree with you on the Gotlands. The Green taste so good, but the portion material and the size of them bother me. It's like they're overstuffed.

I think with the Gotlands it's more the overfilling than the material itself. As for the V2, well.. I've got three tins here. One is fine, the other two feel like a mixture of cardboard and sandpaper in my mouth.

I like the fuzzy ones. They're the softest. Didn't someone say some portion material was made of hemp or something? Whatever it is, I think it's just a looser weave on that portion which makes the fibers hang out more. I'd be grossed out if it was hair or something, but it's just a portion. I like playing with the fuzz.

This is something that I strongly disagree with you about.

IMO the Gotlands portion material is probably some of the best out there and I am pretty sure that quite a few people will agree with me on this one.

Second, the complaint about the portion being overstuffed doesn't make sense to me. How can it be a bad thing that a portion actually contains a lot of tobacco?

Main reason I don't use F&L portions. I once had a piece of fibre from a Granit portion come loose and somehow got stuck between my molars. Felt like I had a hair in my mouth. Disgusting and I never bought Granit again - despite it not being a bad budget snus...

Overstuffed could be bad because it makes the portion to "hard":

Weird you don't like F&L, the make the best portions IMHO

The only portion material I don't like is V2's. All the other brands are pretty similar, at least for me.
