    Thanks so much
I guess if I were you but somehow knew what I know now, I'd start off ordering from getsnus.com and northerner.com, but only Northerner's US warehouse.
    Why??????

What reason is there to NOT be able to use at least 50% of the snus that is out there. What, because you might have to wait a week longer??? Big freakin deal.

Please don't imply to someone that there is ANY risk ordering from overseas. There isn't. None. Yes, may take a few days longer, although I have had a Buysnus order beat an Getsnus order in the past.

I'm with Sage...I've NEVER had a problem ordering over seas.

I use getsnus for my normal snus, and buysnus.com for the stuff getsnus.com doesn' have.

      Not a problem once.

I'm also in Illinois. What cigar shop are you talking about? I've gone to 8 to 8 in Villa Park when I was out and my order hadn't come yet.

Thanks for the replies - so when ordering from say Northerner, there's no special paperwork or anything one would have to fill out? I'm suprised thats legal.

It's called 'Belicoso' - Orland Park. I used to live up near you, in Bolingbrook.

I'm not implying anything about risk. Just that it's quicker and the shipping is cheaper to order from the US warehouse. That's why it exists, after all. It's the same logic as trying out things from Getsnus before branching out.

If someone wants something available only from Sweden, knock your socks off.

With regard to that, read this from a tobacco industry insider:

The "paperwork" is handled by the shippers. ALL packages will say on the outside it contains snus. And it passes right through customs ever time.

And MojoQuestor, that quote is inaccurate. As of today, if I order snus from outside this jurisdiction, there is NO tax legally liable. Does that make sense??? Probably not, why I at least understand some of the prattling going on in Washington. Their current solution, banning the shipment of tobacco through the mails, is not that answer IMHO. I would much rather they just figure out a way to levy the tax at the point of purchase, I'm sure the Swedish shipping companies would cooperate.

But again, the one point I just must emphasize. Folks here have been ordering from Buysnus and Northerner for years with NO issues, ....ever.

I recommend against getting the northerner top 10 box if you're starting out. you'll get spoiled on some of the best outright

                LOL necco.

I almost have been tempted to just tell folks to start out with Level. Figure at least, it will all get better form there.

WRT the quote, I'll just leave it up to everyone to read that thread and decide for themselves. I really shouldn't have brought the stinking PACT Act into this, and naturally I'm going to keep ordering snus as I have done.

Regarding this, I am sorry I used such a poor choice of words. I never meant to imply there are any issues. I should have said something like, "and as someone starting out, you now have a great opportunity to try Northerner and use the US warehouse, where you can enjoy speedy US Priority Mail and save a little on shipping, too."

I hope I have cleaned up decently after myself. If not, I'll try to finish up after a nice, long nap.

Much, much better MojoQuestor, and I wouldn't have had any issues with that at all.

Now that Northerner is expanding selection in the US warehouse, it really can make so much sense to use them. Already, the selection is way better than Getsnus.

I still *may* have an issue using it though. If the stuff sent from the US warehouse has the utterly stupid American warning labels on them, I still probably won't use it. Again, speed is never an issue for me, I hoard way too much snus for that to be something I worry about. And the American labels are SO stupid, I just don't want to carry around cans like that.

My issues before just had everything to do with not creating any unnecessary fears in someone brand new here. Vets know the deal, but new folks don't. What has always made Snuson so special is we have no misinformation that gets posted here, it is up to all of us to ensure it stays that way.

Won't shipping price be better through the US warehouse?

It is, by a couple of bucks. Not enough to matter much to me, but yes, I have checked and it is cheaper regardless of the size of the order.
