What do you snus when you're sick?

Well, I'm out of work today....ugh, flu. (not swine, thank goodness). I've noticed, when I get sick - my snus usage changes.

Usually I stick to very mild white portions, but mosty use minis.

Anyone else notice a change when they're under the weather?

For me it's just whatever I have opened at the time. I don't recall really being drawn to one type or brand.

Oh and hope you feel better soon bro. Glad its not the swine flue

I like catch eucalypus when I'm sick. The menthol flavor reminds me of cough drops, which reminds me of feeling better.

Gizmer, good to see another member from the illustrious state of South Carolina, where the Ashley and the Cooper rivers meet to form the Atlantic ocean.

I don't get sick too much. Hell, I don't think I've been sick since I started using snus. When I'm hungover, though, I don't use any snus. The juice messes with my already upset stomach. Even when I was a smoker, I never felt like a cigarette after a night of heavy drinking.

Haven't been sick in the few weeks I've been snusning, but if it's anything like smoking I will just keep on keeping on.

When I get sick and can't smell or taste anything, I use that to my advantage and break out a can of snus that I normally can't stand! My body gets nicotine and I don't have to taste the stuff! Good time for me to get rid of licorice flavored snus. I also use menthol (nic-free at night) snuff for congestion relief.

I'm sick myself, dunno with what but some kind of vaguely flu-like illness. No time to go to the doctor to find out, either. I'm working on a massive, time-critical project that I have to have finished by Friday afternoon and I'm pulling 14 hour days while doped up on cold pills and enough caffeine to overcome the drowsiness from the cold pills...

As for the topic at hand, I dunno. I'm hitting the extra sterks harder than usual but that's got more to do with the intensity of work right now than anything.

Chad, I will give you 10-1 odds you DO have Swine flu. The regular flu season hasn't started, they have been saying over and over on the news that if you have the flu, it almost most definitely IS swine flu.

Not that it is a big issue. Unless you are a teenager or pregnant (I really hope not) or have other health issues already, it won't be any different to you than the regular flu.

As for your question, I just realized. I haven't been sick in the three years since I started snus...connection????

Yeah, but I'm getting better. So even if it is swine flu, my heavy combination of prescription meds from the doctor, and my mixing of theraflu, nyquil, tylenol, and excedrin, I think I'm knocking it out old school style.

That's what happens to 97% of the folks with swine flu.

All they say is if you have problems breathing, go to the ER. Otherwise, you do the same as any flu

I told a few people I thought I had swine flu and they were like "OMG FACEMASK! QUARANTINE! SHOTS!" and I'm like, "no no no...it's cool." People treat me like I have ebola or something, but you can kick it like the regular flu. One of the reasons I, or my daughter, won't be taking the shot.
