The Ettan vs Grov Poll

One way that has occurred to me to differentiate them is in the negative: when it's missing for me, Ettan can be muddy and murky, whereas Grov, when it's off, is more brassy and bright or harsh. I see these as the flip sides to their positive aspects, can you dig it?

MJ nailed it right there. That's my exact thoughts too.

For me Ettan portion is a great go to snus. But then i do really like Grov Svart.
I'm not gonna vote yet though since i have just gotten into los and will try out both in the next few weeks and maybe that that will sway me one way or the other.

Now if Ettan would make an ES hmmmm.

Well I guess I'm the odd one here, because when it comes to portions I like Grov White, and when it comes to lös, I'm an Ettan guy.

But between the two of them, I think Ettan lös is about the finest lössnus available, so that's where my vote goes.

Since I'm sitting here with insomnia, a lip full of Grov and a mug of coffee, I thought about this thread and decided I'd revisit it.

I had a feeling my feelings for both of these snusii* would flip back and forth, and so they have done. I've been liking Ettan more lately. It's just so rich and deep, with that almost-chocolaty thing that comes out. I had done a lot of Grov and that may be part of the reason why.

But right now, I'm reveling in the rich, creamy goodness that is Grov. Yeah, I just used "rich" to describe them both, I think that's okay. I'm the same way. I always said I prefer Grov, but I've been tearing through the Ettan lös lately. The thing with these 2, is you can use one as a substitute for the other, but there's also distinct differences between them. They're both my preferred coffee snus, and I don't see me ever saying "awe Grov, I really wanted Ettan :^(". They're close enough that either would work. Grov's a little creamier, with an almost buttery taste, while Ettan is nuttier, and a bit dryer in flavor.

I have spent alot of time with Grov White lately and have really been enjoying it. It has a very unique flavor - it's just pure tobacco. A little salt, some hints of pepper, and a earthy flavor overall. It's really good stuff.

Dude, you've only had Grov Black right? Totally different than normal Grov. I love Grov black, normal Grov is a different story.

Wait, you have been here since August, and you will not try a snus based on others comments? (This is said is a good natured ribbing manner, ) You have been snusing long enough to know that snus is different for everyone. I have been snusing for 3 weeks now and I have already learned it doesn't matter how much a snus is praised or bashed, I have to actually try it (a couple times) to see what I actually think of it. People rave about Onxy, but so far I hate it. People rave about Claq Qui, but so far I find it boring.

As far as the poll, I have recently learned that I really like Ettan. I wish they made it in a stark or ES, I absolutely love the chocolate undertones. Its actually Ettan that is making me want to try los. Since they don't have a strong version, I can double the los therefore double the nic.

I have not tried Grov yet, only the black. So I will have to make a point at trying the grov as well. Not a huge fan of the black, but plan to revisit it. If I didn't revisit, I would not have realized how much I like the Ettan. So far Ettan is my favorite non flavored snus.
