FYI - I emailed the folks at buysnus asking if they could package it in a box for shipping with Swedish post so I didn't have to deal with UPS.

The response was that they could double pack it in padded envelopes (2) for Swedish post. Just request double padded envelopes in the comments when you place your order.

I think I'll give that whirl. Looking forward to trying it.

Tell them to tape or tie the lid shut as well. The lid has a bow on it because it doesn't stay shut on it's own. Lest you want to end up like Bakerbarber and receive the kardus completely spilled all over the envelope or box and ruined.

I want to post my thoughts on Kardus in this thread once I receive it. I also hope the merchants have read about the lid problem and will secure the boxes better to avoid shipping mishaps.

The descriptions of Kardus talk about only using the lamina and people seem confused about this. The midrib stem on a tobacco leaf can be up to 30% of the weight of a leaf. Most snus is simply the whole leaf, including the midrib, ground or chopped up.

Using only lamina and making a long cut will definitely bring out the flavor of premium tobaccos. My guess is that this Kardus will have a very pure tobacco flavor that is relatively mild but long lasting. The mixture of rum (especially oak aged 23 year old rum) should complement the tobacco very nicely. If this rum really is more like cognac I'll be in heaven. I've always wanted an armagnac or cognac flavored snus. I'm looking forward to trying this snus and I hope it lives up to or exceeds my expectations.

Indeed RatBat, this is a free forum and of course I have not paid a penny to read any of chad's posts. What I have against him is that he continuously posts everywhere and on everything and rarely in my opinion posts anything of any substance, basically just a complete lack of personality over 2,000 times, I guess I finally snapped a bit. Of course just my opinion on a free forum.

Chad's cut and paste approach may seem a journalistic horror story to

Journalistic horror is really not a problem for me. I'm obviously not much of a writer myself. But I'm pretty sure you can tell my amatueristic article was not just cut and pasted and presented as my own personal review.

I'm usually not one to instruct, but it seemed to me chadizzy was accepting to some peoples suggestions, he always is, he listens to whatever anybody tells him. Another reason he lacks any personality to me. I attempted to throw my pompous ass suggestion out there with the thought he might actually see he does not have to be a journalistic wizard to not plaguerize a report. It was my pompous ass attempt to be nice and I shouldn't have posted it. Chad doesn't need direction from me. Nobody does, my apologees. I'm not gonna hold a contest though so the forum can find me a new personality. I am who I am.

As far as Chad's avatar it is exactly what I have been saying to me. I don't think I need to explain what it signals to me and how it personifies him to me again. I've been pompous enough already. But I will say I am pretty happy with my life since you asked. Got a great family, home and job to pay for it all, hell even my fantasy football team is in 1st place. In these times I can't complain one bit. But thanks for asking, shows you really care.

Now this is what I'm talking about. This is great stuff to me. Very entertaining post and brought a smile to my face. I can actually see you have a sense of humor and personality from reading this. Pretty much the same reason I find Premium Parrots to be one of my favorite posters here. He has his own personality and it shows, much like many other people here who post. To me Chad has no personality whatsoever with his posts. Again, just an opinion. Even I seem to have come through with some kind of personality, be it a pompous ass but hey it's something. I'm not gonna hold a contest to have the forum find me a ne one. I'll take myself for who I am and be happy.

Again, it isn't the avatar, it's what the avatar signals which is another post that completely lacks any personality to me.

You can change the avatar to whatever, but it is the substance of your posts that matters on a forum, to me Chadizzy doesn't seem to get that. Instead he talks about holding contests to find a new avatar. How can that help, it will just show once again a complete lack of any personality. Reminds me of the kid in school that would do whatever the popular kids asked just to be accepted. Over 2,000 posts in less than a year and this person is not crying out for acceptance?

Your probably right, like I said I just snapped off a bit after plopping down my purchase for the kardus2009 I came here to look for some info on what I had just bought and clicked on this thread only to find nothing but what I deemed a chadizzy recycled information post and got pizzed.

I've definately carried it too far and apologize.

Chadizzy, much respect to you for biting your lip at my harsh posts and not fueling the fire here.

Actually makes you a very good forum member in that regard by avoiding the flame war I started.
