"We have received 30 cans of this year’s production run of 500 cans. The availability is very limited. If you want to be sure to get a can of Kardus, I recommend that you visit our web site at once: www.snusworldwide.com/us and place your order."
So if no one else has any, this is a good last option.
I've had mine for a couple of days now and to be honest I'm a bit disappointed. You see I had a box of the Kardus 2008 and it was incredible - the 2009 version is much more subtle and although undoubtedly an incredibly high quality product - it doesn't do enough for me.
The 2008 was fruity like the best raisins and dates, it was rich and the combination with the alcohol made it taste like the best ever sticky Christmas pudding, only it was a snus. The 2009 is so pale in contrast to that - there's a very faint taste of apples in there and the tobacco comes through like the smell of a freshly opened packet of virginia cigarettes, which is fresh and nice like the smell of new mown hay, but not really enough to justify $50.
Maybe I just got (un)lucky with my first Kardus and it has spoilt me for future offerings.
Sorry if anyone reads this with some in the post and gets worried for their investment - I just hope it's only my personal take on it for your sakes. If it helps (as i haven't been on here in a while) I'm a fussy bastard
Cheers
Squeezy
Fussy bastard or not, I know we have similar tastes in snus so I trust your judgment
I decided not to order it based on the fact that I'd rather spend that money on a roll of Gellivare and Landstroms that a friend is having shipped to his house in Sweden
Simple decision really
$100 for 100 grams of snus or $100 for two rolls of snus I've been dying to stock up on....

so what would be the preferred method of kardus storage? i know a lot of you had kardus 2008 like several months to almost a year later. do you just keep it in the freezer, or the fridge, or leave it out or what?

You have some kick ass friends :^)
I wish Northerner would start stocking Gellivare's products again.

No need to freeze it. It keeps very nicely in the fridge. I think I had mine for around 6 months and it was just as good at the end.
I wish Northerner would start stocking Gellivare's products again.
He works with me and I am twisting his arm (and throwing in a can for his trouble), but he is a cool dude. We tend to order most of our snus together to save on shipping costs.
Doris said a while back that they were talking to Northerner about stocking their products again, but I've not heard anything from either of them to say that they've reached an agreement. Pity. Would make things a lot simpler.
I also asked my mate to call them direct. They said they hoped to be able to ship directly in the future, but not any time soon.

How about you let me in on that?
I might consider it
Seriously, I know a lot of people want to get hold of some Gellivare. Even for me this is a rare chance to stock up. Therefore I am not really that keen on parting with my two rolls as I don't know when I will be able to get some more.
That does not mean that I don't want to help people out if I can.
The only solution I see to this is ordering more - about four rolls (this will depend on how much I can get my mate to bring back because he is already planning on buying at least four rolls of General)
I am not that interested in trading anything for the Gellivare.
I'd rather have everyone chip in with cash (sent via Paypal) and then everyone gets their share of a roll according to what they are willing to pay - $10 gets you two cans etc.
NOTE: It is currently retailing for about SEK355 ($50) a roll. That translates to about $5 a can. Not cheap in other words (because it is sold in Sweden it is subject to all the usual taxes.)
I have already spoken to a UK forum member about getting him some and he will get preference on any rolls that are ordered. I know lxskllr is a fan as well so any request from him (if he is interested) will also be given preference. After that it is on a first come first served basis
Finally, if anyone is interested I will need to know in advance to discuss with my mate how much he is willing/able to get in his bag. This will prevent me from making promises to people and not coming through on them.
Any interested parties also need to be aware that he will only go to Sweden during the Christmas week so I won't get it until the beginning of January.
Once I know all this I would be willing to front the cash for the rolls. However, I would expect everyone to then pay their share once I receive the rolls and before I start sending out the cans.
If this sounds like a plan let me know and I will talk to him about it and hear what he has to say.
The other alternative is for all of us who are interested in ordering Gellivare to ask Northerner / Buysnus etc to start stocking it. This will turn a relatively complicated process into a simple one and give everyone the opportunity to buy Gellivare's awesome products. I've created a poll for this
