Discreet Emerald Ice definitely tastes much more like spearmint than wintergreen to me. I like wintergreen, don't care for spearmint (or peppermint for that matter).

I actually did not like it at all the first time I tried it. It was the first Swedish Snus I tried. So I threw it in the freezer for a couple days while I tried the rest of my order. When I came back to it, the first portion was okay, but with each additional portion it just got better, it has since been my number one. Its like crack to me. There are many other snus that I love, but this is the only one where I actually CRAVE the flavor. Along with Thunder Frosted and Roda Lacket, it's definately one I couldn't do without.

Just ordered 3 more rolls from Northerner. There's something about General Wintergreen, it has to be really fresh or it looses texture, breaks open etc. Too many times I have ordered from Getsnus only to find it is a month close to the expiry date, YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only other snus I can also enjoy is Skruf los...only problem, I can't leave the house with los, lol.Comment

I agree. I always order my General Wintergreen from GetSnus, and have never had a problem with freshness. It always seems to be at least 2-3 months from expiration.
As I freeze all my snus anyway, as long as I get it at least a month from expiration, its all good. Im actually snusing on a can I pulled from the freezer this morning, which actually expired yesterday 11/05, and it tastes just as fresh as the day it was made.
I just can't justify paying $35.90 before shipping, when I get it at GetSnus for $28.00, plus a Mystery Can.
And, right now, GetSnus has a buy-10-get-2-free deal, so you actually get 12 cans in a roll, plus the Mystery can, so 13 cans for $28.00. Good Deal. (Same deal for RL Claq Qui, if you're interested).

General Wintergreen is still my favorite of all the snus that I have tried so far. I wish they had it in a Sterk, Extra Sterk, and/or Maxi portion.
Of the other ones that I liked tended to be more of the straight tobacco flavor which is really surprising to me.Comment

I love Thunder Orginal Portion. I have some Thunder Wintergreen but I haven't tried it yet. I am not a flavored fan, but I have a GESP open at work, and a N&J open at home, and was wanting to try my Odens ESP next, and I don't wanna have more then 2 starks open at a time, so I'll get to it eventually.Comment

Wintergreen
I don't care for the General Wintergreen - it seems to burn/irritate my gums badly when it goes in. Discreet Emerald Ice does the same thing. I don't mind the General Mini Mints and Discreet Cool Mint occasionally - they don't have that same burn. I also like Thunder Frosted mini and portion - some burn but not as bad as the General Wintergreen. I find myself avoiding any wintergreen snus.Comment

Wintergreen is great.
I find it funny that a lot of people like wintergreen, calling it horrible when they themselves use a snus that tastes like it was flavored with dirt.
Don't get me wrong, once you get use to the natural snus taste you like it....but come on....
I prefer fruit flavored snus's, but general wintergreen is an amazing flavor. One of the best "any time" snuses.Comment
