The snus itself is just regular Oynx, it is the can itself that s special, made of Carbon fiber and designed by Porsche. Is that special enough for the money, it is for some folks. I was given one by Buysnus for an order the messed up. I ended up trading it to a collector for a roll of snus.
I actually got my hands on a Onyx Carbon Edition.
Onyx Carbon edition is specially made by Swedish Match and produced by the same company that makes the carbon for Porsche and Koenigsegg.
It says, "Nothing bad about carbon made sportcars, but our can is way more unique", on the bag that the can arrives in.
Each can is numbered from 1 to 1000.
Lol, seriously. It's a neat little tin, however keeping it in the fridge seems to make the cover a little loose, so i leave it out most of the time. Looks great for biz meetings and such.
#861 represent. Since I got a high number when I got it two months ago, must mean there's not many left!
I really fancy one of those tins.....and givesnus.com has them in stock still. Not cheap though.
I was also looking at an Icetool Snus Tin - which is more expensive than the Onyx Carbon, but the Carbon actually has Snus in it too!
The only problem with the Carbon tin is that I'd want to reuse it for other snus as well, but it would still say General on it...not sureI can live with that.
I just got one #0646... I was thinking about reusing it a lot for when I carry around Onyx but a bit worried it will get scratched up... what do you all think?

I think it'll get scratched up :^P
It depends on if you want a nice tin to carry snus, or a collectors item. A collectors item sits around and collects dust. A used tin will get beat up, but it'll become an old friend, and be useful. If you think it would make a good tin, I'd go ahead and use it. It really won't gain value, and if it's just sitting on a shelf you won't even see it. It'll just be stuff you ignore.

Hi Shaggy!
I use mine quite a bit for carrying snus when we go out, it's quite the conversation starter!
If it gets scratched up, treat the finish just like you would a car's finish. A bit of rubbing compound and a little elbow grease and she'll come out, good as new! After all, they use Carbon Fiber on cars.....right?
Actually, I speak from experience. This method does work to get out scratches.
