As a musician who has to sing backing vocals a bit for a living - I know where you're coming from. By quitting the cigarettes you are doing your lungs a massive favour - you'll certainly notice a substantial increase in lung capacity.
However - I reckon that if you use portions or los for a decent length of time then they do drip and with it being snus - it's pretty safe to swallow it so you do. For me when that happens - I find it affects my voice as much as a night's heavy smoking ever did - my voice drops in pitch like when I've got a heavy cold and the high notes aren't impossible but they hurt a bit.
The best thing you can do is spit the portions out a bit more often - 20 mins max for originals which I use most - probably a bit longer for whites. I know it costs money - and it might seem like you are wasting most of the good vitamin N - but if your gig matters to you then it will benefit you loads.
I would add that laying off the snus for a couple of hours before your gig not only benefits your voice - if it's a particularly energetic gig your whole body will find it easier - think of it as taking part in a sport, if the gig's any good the adrenalin will kick in and you won't even notice the lack of nicotine anyway.
Anyway - good luck - and if you follow my advice, your post-gig snus will be all the more satisfying!
