Haven't tried it but I've been thinking about it for a while, just never took the plunge.

Is it any good or does it taste like ass?

It only tastes like ass if ass is slightly sweet and tastes a little like whiskey, without the burn or bitterness that comes from the presence of alcohol. Then again, I've only had just the two portions today, so I'm not very well-acquainted with Probe. I've got some of the lös and may give that a whirl in a day or two.

So far, I'd say, it's nice, good for something different, nothing I'd want to use all day. Someone told me it kind of flipped back and forth for him, sometimes good and sometimes not so good.

Sure, and it's something all whiskeys have in common. But it's the other things that give them their own characters. It's why Jim Bean tastes different from Jack Daniels or Bushmills, you know what I mean?

I don't know which whiskey Probe tastes most like, but I'm pretty sure it isn't Ancient Age

Anyway, if you're looking for a shot in your lip, I don't think Probe's gonna cut it.

I enjoy Probe Whiskey quite a lot, but I don't really get much whiskey from it. It's sweet, smoky and tobacco-y. The sweetness tastes more like molasses or piloncillo than artificial sweetener or pure sugar. It's a very rich, full flavor that's perfect when you want to relax in front of a fireplace and read a book...

Probe is the only sweet snus I really enjoy, but it's too sweet for me to use very often. I have a few portions a week of this one and enjoy each one thoroughly. More than that, and it starts to taste sickly.

Much sweeter than General, but not as as sweet as Camel or the fruity Discreets (IMO).

probe is kind of like a raisiny, not quite molassesy but in that sort of ball park. its pretty good. not my favorite, but i use it once in a while. id like to try the los, i bet its way better than the portions.
