Ah, Level. The Private Stock (cig brand that tastes like a mix between poop and wet ass) or Falls City (American beer that is even more repulsive than most US varieties) of snus. I now, when ordering mix rolls from Buysnus make sure to put a note down requesting that no Level shows up in my order.

I really, really hate the stuff. Got two cans in a random roll from the aforementioned retailer, tried one, and I'm pretty sure I tossed the other one, or at least most of it. It was some nasty stuff!

Any other brands that are as bad, or (Gods help us) worse?

haha lxskllr....sorry about that. ops: you didn't have to do that but thanks anyway
i have to say i don't really know what specifically bergamot tastes like. i've had landstroms, and that's the closest i think i know what it is. but i don't know what it tastes like on it's own, so i can better identify what i know of it. also i've never tasted oak leaves. is it just really sour? is it like like dirt? a combination of that?
I have no idea what horse liniment is or smells like...although I have been around horses and barns a bit before. i tend to enjoy the smell in a barn, unless it's fresh horse piss.

maybe it's an acquired taste? I've found certain flavors to be absolutely atrocious, yet they are apparently loved by some. maybe because of that whole 'bite' sensation of it being so bad, that it's sort of like biting on your pinky to sooth other pain in your body...sort of a masochistic pleasure....

Bergamot is the flavoring in Earl Grey tea, if you want to see how it tastes and smells without being attached to a snus.

To Realm-No problem mate, I'll take one for the team  It's very earthy, and has a cheap tobacco bite. It truly burns when you swallow it. I don't know that I'd call it sour, though I guess there's some sourness in there. I'm really not sure what to compare it to, it's unequaled in the snus world(that's a good thing). I guess the closest you'd come to the taste would be if you took an Earl Grey teabag, emptied out half of the tea, and added the cheapest cigarette tobacco you could find(I recommend RollRich for the proper awful taste), then used that as a portion. Lots of bite, and very "coarse" in flavor.

To cap- Level is by far the worst snus I've had. One that's close in price, but many don't like is LD. It has a bit of a cheap taste also, but that's from using a lot of flavoring. One of my favorite brands is LD Black(licorice). I also bought a roll of the LD regular portions(bergamot). I would recommend them to anyone, because the price isn't bad, and I think the flavor's very good, if a little strong for some.

LD Gold loose - the only can I ever tossed, after about 10 prillas, one more disgusting than the other. I really feel it's a sin to toss snus, so I used a few brands, that didn't taste too good, including Level, but LD Gold was beyond all bearing. It had a nauseating kind of mint-taste instead of the advertised pure tobacco-taste.

              Cheers!

I have tried everything except most of the LD series. I have tried the black and juniper. In my last order I included the LD Gold Loose, so I hope its not as bad as you say.

Were Level cigarettes sold in the US? I have never seen them. Just wondering since the packaging is red, white, and blue. I do like the Level packaging and logo. I pulled the tin out of the freezer for another try. Yea, this stuff makes me cough. Its hard on the throat. It has a cigarette tobacco taste to it. My wife actually likes it, so it is possible.

Both Buysnus and Northerner have the same basic description - "Snus based on the cigarette brand Level. A fresh mix of tobacco, citrus and bergamot." lol..

Kurbits Snus is the result of a meeting between an avid Snus fan and an innovative entrepreneur. This meeting created the conditions for the products they are now very proud to be able to present in the respected Snus market.

Kurbits Snus are aware that there are already many products and many players in the market, but they also know that it is possible to create Snus with a completely different feeling than what the market had to offer. ...
