Good "Starter" Snus?

How do everyone!

As you can see, this is my first post here on SnusOn.com, and it's quite exciting. As stated in the thread title, i'm just looking for a good "starter" snus. I use quotations for because I've been a smoker for a little over a year now. I've never been into cigarettes but close friends of mine and I usually get together one to two times a week a smoke a nice cigar. (Have a buddy in the Merchant Marines who brings all kinds of crazy stuff back ) Anyways, been using Snus for a little over a month now and I've been browsing these forums for a week or so. You all seem like reasonable people.

The snus I've been using since I began is the cheap brand that Camel markets. You know, the stuff you can find anywhere. As best I understand it, those are referred to as "mini's". I'm looking strictly into pouches, just for reference. Not specifically looking for an increased strength, but that's whatever.

Sorry if all of this seems short or run-on but I'm unfortunately a bit sleep deprived thanks to work. Anyhoo, any input is appreciated. Thanks everyone!

My best recommendation for a brand new snuser is get the Top 10 try out box from Northerner.com. Really the best introduction to the best of snus that I can recommend. Once you try that, depending on what you like, we can give you better recommendations.

if you're starting from camel then id recommend general dry mini mint..some other good ones to start with would be Grov and Ettan

There's alot out there, and snus is cheap.

my first order was the top 10 box. unfortunately you no longer get lucky strike in it. my initial favorites were roda lacket, ettan, and general.

Whoa! If you have only been smoking for a year it should be easier to quit. I would probably stick to the very low nicotine snus and then transition your way off of it until you are nicotine free. Just do it in a way that is just enough to keep you from smoking. I wouldn't play with tobacco too much because believe me it will get harder to quit as the years go by. Your best bet right now might be the purified snus from Northerner.com

Dumb question but are you only allowed one trial box per credit card or something? I see on getsnus a lot of them sell cans at like 2.70 a piece.

This sounds reasonable to me, though I can't comment on purified snus, as anything purified would cause me to dissolve in a column of steam. I've been cutting back a little on the nic. I used a number of Taboca Strong Minis yesterday and did fine with them. It helps that I love the flavor. They sit (6mg) midway between a usual portion (8mg) and a typical mini (4mg).
