I recently ordered a bunch of different kinds of loose snus, and right now I'm trying the Kronan. It's ok at first, but after a while it gets kind of sour tasting. Anyone else notice this with Kronan. It's soft and not too overpowering, but the flavor isnt' that great to start with, then it just goes downhill from there.
Kronan is low quality

Kronan loose was the only tin of my trial pack from Northerer that didn't make the cut.
I didn't like the courseness of the snus and couldn't handle the taste. Don't get me wrong, I like the "Earl Grey" flavor, but not quite that strong.
Three prillas and into the toilet the rest of the tin went.
So, Kronan is a snus I will never purchase again.

Kronan's okay. The coarse texture is somewhat offputting. The flavor is good, though, IMO. The regular portions aren't bad, but for something flavored in a portion (regular or otherwise) I'd rather go for GR No. 2. Which reminds me that I have a roll in the freezer that I haven't even opened yet.
Back to Kronan, though: overall, not a favorite, but it's worth having on hand just to break up any potential snus monotony.

i wasn't expecting anything. at the time (when i was a newbie) i wasn't aware it was a "low-cost" snus (it was included in my try-out package from northerner). after trying it out and learning about it, i understand why. all i'm saying is that i didn't care for it at all.
everything else i've used, i've liked. i just can't warm up to kronan. i prefer the more finer ground snus, however, the courseness of kronan (and any other snus) i can tolerate. i just couldn't get past the flavor. way too overwhelming for my likes. that said, i do prefer the more pure tobacco flavored snus.
i see that others really like kronan. that's okay. i, myself, do not...and that's okay, too.

I remember I quite liked Kronan. To me it was sort of a budget version of General. My favouirte budget Snus became Knox by Skruf when it came out though.
