Fishhook your lip to get portion right

anyone else here have to fishhook your lip to get a portion in the right place?

look like Jack Nicholson as the Joker trying to get a portion not to bunch up etc...

Maybe I should be folding them? Fold on which edge?

I just pop it in my mouth, and push it up there with my tongue.

I slide mine in. Usually fluff them, and pad them flat, lick it, then slide it in from the side.

EDIT: To respond to the original post, I usually just toss a portion in my mouth, might fluff it with my front teeth, then position with my tongue.

Same. But if it's something hard or shaped (General star pattern type stuff), I'll fluff the tobacco inside loose so when i put it in, it conforms to the shape of where i want it.

that could be it - these were wedge shaped from the star pattern - i'll try to fluff / even out the portion more

Normally I fold them in half hot-dog style across the seal. Otherwise I throw it in my mouth, fluff up the tobacco with my front teeth, and then push it into place. You'll get better over time.

I use the fishhook method. I get amused by the perplexed stares.
