Phantom portion

Hello,

Just found the forum and it appears to be a good little place to get info.

I Got a couple mixed bags from buysnus and one of the cans was Phantom original portion.

Upon opening it, I noticed the rather unappetizing odour and the colour of the portions was a light orange/yellow, but decided to try one anyway. It was pretty foul and, for lack of a better term, tasted rancid.

My questions is as follows; Is this how this particular brand should be, or did i get some sort of dud can that was under a radiator for a few months at the factory?

Welcome to SnusOn, and the horror that is Phantom portion :^D

They're pretty bad, and that's exactly the way it's supposed to taste. The lös is alright, but the portions are unusable.

I guess another newbie can be added to the list of Phantom haters.

So far the most refined and suitable brand has been General extra strong. As an ex pack-a-day smoker the strength and associated "throat violence" is just what the doctor ordered.

I have gone through a can of Thunder Blue and Odens Licorice.. both were quite nice in terms of the hit, but General is so much smoother.

I like Phantom Blue portions. But I haven't tried the others, well, I did have some Phantom Brown White, and it was eh, ok. I would like to try them.

Hi Mostar. General ES (and for a while Oden's ES) and some of the other strong snus helped me out a lot at first. I was a two-pack-a-day smoker when I smoked packs (I went to rollups the last year-and-a-half or so).

I've been using Svensk snus for a little over three-and-a-half-months now, and as much as I love General ESP, General ESL, and other strong snus, I'm mostly down to "regular strength" stuff mixed with minis. Step one was just to get over the cigs, step two, apparently, to lower my nic need and deal with my insomnia. So far, so good.

Anyway, I sort of drifted away from the starks and extra-sterks kind of naturally. If you like the Gen ES, give the Gen Sterk a try at some point, and the regular General, plus maybe similar brands like LD, Granit, Gustavus, and Kronan.
