    Levels of Snus potency?

    Hey guys. Cruising the forums again and another though occurred to me. I'm looking at the cans I received a few days ago and was wondering what are the different levels of potency? I see Stark, extra Stark, etc. How does all of that go down? Not looking to order anything too powerful. Appreciated guys.

      A good (and possibly fun) approach might be to prowl around the Northerner website. They give strengths for all the different snus in milligrams, as I recall. I would even go and make a nice little list but I'm lazy, and practically falling out of my chair. Here it is not even nine-thirty and I'm nodding. WTF, when did I turn into an old geezer? Anyway, Extra Stark is stronger than Stark, I guess you knew that. If you don't want anything too strong then stay away from Oden's ES, General ES, and Thunder anything, as far as I know.

          It all comes down to nicotine levels.

          4mg is the average mini portion
          8mg is the average regular/white portion
          11-13mg is the average STARK portion
          16-17mg is the average for the EXTRA STARK.

              Yeah. Learned that Thunder lesson the other day. Picked Thunder Blue as my first swedish snus the other day. 5 minutes and i'd fallen out of my chair, had a splitting headache, and upset stomach all day. Passed out for like 45 minutes. Not to mention...the taste. :x

                  Yeah Thunder blue is disgusting. Being an ex smoker, I like the high nicotine levels and can use Thunder all day.

                      Can't forget Ooomph mini portions which are 3 or 6 milligrams. The new Mocca Macchiato mini is 5 mg, if I remember correctly.

                              .. and just to confuse things, there's the pH issue! So if you notice a particular brand seems stronger or weaker than another, despite the same nicotine level in milligrams, that may be why.

                              Higher pH = more nicotine is readily absorbable. A small difference in pH can make a massive difference in the nicotine "hit" you get.
