Nordströmmen Christmas Snus vs. Gotlandssnus Julesnus

I have tried the Gotlandssnus but have ordered the Nord. For those of you who;ve tried both, who wins? I probably will order some anyway but was curious what you folks thought?

I haven't had V2s snus this year, but based on last year's recipe, Gotland by a long shot.

Gotland for sure. Northerner's "Merry Christmas" purified is also tasty, though I'm not wild about purified snus in general.

BUT...Nord's states that this year's recipe is new & improved! I sure hope so because that stuff last year was horrid! Had they not claimed a change, I would have not ordered this year. Sorry ProudMarineDad, I know my post was not helpful. Just chiming in...

I thought it was /ok/(lös edition of course), but the flavor was too much, and it emphasized the wrong notes imo. I still have a partial tin in the fridge from last year if that says anything ;^)

I guess I'm the only one, but I think Nordstrommen is way better. I just placed an order for a roll of los.

I'll try a tin of this years blend if it's still around when I make my next order. My last order was from Getsnus, and they didn't have it. I would have probably gotten a tin if it was available. I needed to buy 1 single to get free shipping.

Finally got around to ordering some Nord, so I may have an opinion on that by Christmas time. I have only tried a couple of portions of the Gots, and have yet to break out the lös, though I am looking forward to it.

The Merry Christmas snus is tasty, but, alas, a bit ruined (for me) by the sweetener. I think it's a good idea for this snus, and I'd have to say it's well done overall, but it's just not the sort of thing I like in a snus.

Update: I am now sampling the Gotländskt Julesnus lös, and I love it. It is a bit sweet, but in a subdued, natural-tasting way I like. It's delicious. Unless there turns out to be an unpleasant aftertaste, which I don't foresee, this one's a real winner for me.

Update 2: The sweetness is largely gone, supplanted by the familiar sort of bitterness that seems common to Gotlands products. I guess it has to do with the tobacco they use. The way it marries to the other flavors is just wonderful. I can see that this is a snus that might not appeal to everyone, the same as with Gots Gul and others, but if you like Gotlandssnus, you should try this. Man, my mouth is happy.

I didn't have last years, but I'm gonna have to go with V2. It's so good, especially with coffee. And I'm bias against Gotland's portion material. I can't stand it. I do have a can of the los julesnus, I just haven't tried it yet.

im already pretty burnt out on the gotland julesnus, and not even halfway through the can. i loved it very much at first but am starting to not want it anymore, and have a whole nother can to go after this one. ill probably put it up on the exchange.

I preferred V2 (don't shoot me) over Gotland's Julesnus. Having not had last years to compare to, I was going into it with an open palette, and for me, the V2 just had more flavor.

this is probably known to everyone already, but getsnus is finally carrying julesnus

I think this is where we differ. I prefer a more subtle approach to snus flavoring. I like the base tobacco flavor to come through, and I'd rather work a bit to get the flavor, than have it jump out at me.

Same for me. I also liked that the Nordströmmen Julesnus seemed to focus more on the glög flavor and let the spices float subtly in the bacground, whereas the Gotlandskt Julesnus seemed to want all the flavors to be equal.
