snus slime

When I keep a portion in for an hour or so it gets this nasty layer of slime on it. And I end up spitting it out before the flavor is gone. I have good oral hygene, so I'm lost as to what causes it.

Suck on the portion every so often. It helps keep the moisture down. Some snus is worse with this than others. Onyx tends to get slimy, and it's hard to prevent.

At least through my first year, a snus that got to slimy would always make me spit it out. Now, I never notice it any more. But when I read JaKe's post, I remembered that I used to react the same way.

I used to have a hell of a time keeping them in place when they got like that too. Someone mentioned the Onyx and, for me, I have a hard time keeping those in the right spot for very long.

It's just saliva saturating the pouch. Notice if you mess with it, like pressing your tongue on it a lot, it happens faster. I can't stop doing that, I constantly press my pouches with my tongue for flavor hits.

Just flip it over, seems to only happen on the lip side. Flip it, good to go!

TBH I'm amazed at how long people keep snus in for. IMO the kick from snus only lasts for up to half an hour - then it's out.

I am not a fan of the 'slim' but I can use a napkin to get some of it off and stick it back in for 30-40 more min. I do this mostly with the Thunder Frosted because I know they will last longer.

I disagree, I think the OP get slim quicker than White, I think because they are moist, personally.

Every time I've noticed a portion getting slimy, it was a white.
I've never noticed a regular getting slimy.
That's just my experience. Maybe it varies with the person.
