Any other Canadians getting bent over HARD lately by the CBSA on duty?

I’ve been ordering my snus online for import for ages. Up until recently, I’d say 30% to 50% of my orders (usually one roll) would slip through customs. For the last six months or so, I get dinged (and hard) on every order. The duty is so inconsistent, ranging from about $20 to $200. It makes no sense.

Also, has anyone else had an order rejected and either destroyed or sent back to the supplier on the grounds of illegal importation of a pharmaceutical? I got a letter from the CBSA denying my import. Just crazy!

I'd say that happens all the time in Canada. But there are ways around that....

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
