Where is everyone?

It's incredible that a forum that was so vibrant only 10 years ago is absolutely derelict. What has happened to this place? Is it a snus thing? Or is it just how people use the internet now? I can't help but think that a lot of the reason for its demise was interference from snus selling companies ... I still regularly use forums about other areas of knowledge that only survived because of their perceived independence.

Good to see you mate. I think most forums are way inactive because most people are using social media instead these days. Even the other large snus site is slow as hell. We try to keep snuson up and running because there is probably more info on snus here that anywhere else on the web.

It's the way the internet is going. Conversation that used to take place on forums has moved to FB groups, and Reddit, to an extent.

Videos are the same way. I still make YouTube videos, but most people are consuming videos on TikTok and via Reels on FB and Instagram (which I have zero plans of doing).

This is how it is with most forums, sadly.

Well, I don't know. For someone - worldwide - who wants to get off the cigarettes, or who wants to find an alternative nicotine source that's usable everywhere (oh, I'm sometimes snusing in the shower, but you all know what I really mean) this forum is the best place to learn more.

Maybe everything was said and answered already, and it's good that everything stays available on this forum.

The situation in Germany is that we only have one supplier left, which I won't name here. The EU "bureaucators" and "commi-sars" are addicted to cigarette taxes as it seems, so the situation here is just depressing. Several, actually all German forums where I participated, have just become dead or vanished totally.

I always felt most at home here at Snuson, even if I have to write in the rusted English I learned in school, and I sincerely hope that this forum stays alive and gets revived.

Not every question can be answered with some crappy TikTok video, that's for sure.

I have not logged into snuson for a long time until today. How is everyone doing? I had a good time with getting snus deliveries again from sweden to the UK last year however my last snus order last year was intercepted by UK customs and exise and they stung me with a £400 tax bill (illegally) this really disillusioned me and the amount of hoops I would have to jump through to get my money back just depressed me. About this time I noticed all the local supermarkets and shops were selling nicotine pouches so i have been using them. They stop me from smoking cigarettes but they do not satisfy me in the way good snus does. That being said I just placed an order for 10 cans of ettan lös from sweden and the tracking number say it has gone through UK customs without issue and it should arrive tomorrow so I feel I am back in the game. this has been a long time coming.

I am going to make an effort visit this place more often I miss the old days of the snus community. I closed my facebook account last year. I no longer live in London I moved back up North where I hail from. My parents are getting old so I moved back to be a bit closer to give them support when it is needed. One of the benefits of living in London for all those years as I was only 20 mins away from Stanstead Airport and could fly to Gotëborg or Stockholm really cheap on Ryan air. But I just looked into it and in the North Ryan Air fly out of Manchester Airport which is 50 mins away. They can fly you to Gotëborg for £25 each way. I am planning to revisit the Mortherland of Snus during spring of 2024 and do a big snus run fill my bags.

from your field report, it looks like the situation in the U.K. is about as depressing as in Germany. I'm somewhat speechless.

I just ordered a log of ettan lós last Sunday from Sweden and Postman delivered today it work out out about £5 per can including delivery the first Ettan i have had in over a year.

Never posted much, but it is a shame everyone went away. What a cast of characters and how fun it was to read this forum when the snus alternative became the thing back in the day. Here in Maryland, snus is up to about 10 bucks a can now, but I am still glady "selling" snus over other nictotine prodcuts to others while picking up some at the local stor. That is how much I think of this product and what it has done for me over smoking. Miss that Ettan Los and Los in general more than I thought, so an order must be placed to viking land soon.
