If you saw some of this “research” in the other thread, I copied it over here because I wanted to talk about this. This all started because I’ve taken a few normal “Swedish Match” size pinches of Kronan and they have literally kicked me in the teeth with nicotine strength. I keep it low and that’s why I love los, I am able to take a smaller pinch than a portion and get more portions per tin…but knowing whereabouts the nicotine content is in a snus is key. I don’t want to catch a buzz, I want to keep from smoking.
How does Swedish Match denote strength? I can’t find it on their website so we are kinda at the mercy of the retailers to report it. According to my best research and what I could see in pictures on websites, here is what I have found.
G3 4 dots 26mg/g
G3 3 dots 15-18 mg/g
Kronan Stark Original 15mg/g (no dots?)
Kronan Stark White 12mg/g (no dots?)
Kronan Original 2 dots 8.5mg/g
Kronan White 8mg/g (no dots?)
Can anyone help me connect the dots? (That joke was so good kept it in this post haha)
Kronan los has two dots…and it feels to be to me more than the quoted 7-7.5 on websites. I’m thinking 11-13mg/g. This stuff hits with the nicotine harder than I expected, and I understand that is subjective, but I feel it stronger than something like Röda 7.5mg/g and Mustang 10mg/g (which are my other two open tins at the moment). Same size pinch of Mustang hits less than the same size pinch of Kronan.
Now I know it could be the PH, but Swedish Match is not super clear on how they vary through the lines. The website also states that the nicotine content in their snus is the content of the tobacco used…so…
Here’s the linky:

The link on that page to the nicotine content of snus doesn’t work for me, did it work for anyone else?
