    Göteborg here I come.

Every time I order Snus from Sweden to me in the UK our HMRC (customs) always intercept my package and add on average £180 import duty. Yet they cannot legally do this to snus. so I fill out a form and claim the money back. So now I am going to just fly to Gothenberg fill up a big bag of snus and come back the next day.

What about going and coming in the same day not leaving the airport? Could save hostel/hotel costs…

About not leaving the airport: The inexpensive flights (from where I live at least) all land on an airport near Stockholm and start again half an hour later. The only chance would be to make an arrangement beforehand with the airport's tobacco shop, to jump out pf the plane, to get the snus, and to check in again immediately (more or less unfeasible within the time window), or to spend the night at the airport and wait till the next day to fly back.

It depends on the exact flight schedules, of course.

I have also already played through all possible scenarios.

The EU snus ban is really a sick nonsense. Sorry to learn that the UK has still not recovered from the EU membership. But, well, I've lost the trust in politicians long ago anyway.

        Cheers!

A long time ago I flew into Stockholm Arlanda and stayed airside got some rolls of snus, sampled some local snacks, and had a coffee then flew back. Both flights were pre booked.

I just checked. I flew with Norwegian which arrived at Arlanda at 16:25. Stayed airside. Then I returned on the 18:15 flight.

Thinking about it… maybe when I arrived at Arlanda I checked in immediately then was airside. Not sure if my snus was in my cabin bag or hold luggage.

If I was gonna go to Sweden, especially from the United States, I would 100% want to tour the country. Or at least wherever I flew into…

The first time I went to Sweden I stayed in a hostel but it’s very expensive (for me anyway) I expect more so now. Would love to do a tour when there’s a bit more sunshine… would be nice to see Norway, Denmark, and Finland too.
