smoked cigs for 20+ years and snus is the only thing that has helped me quit. I've had maybe 2 cigs in the last year and the taste reminded me how much of an effort I had to put into becoming hooked on them in the first place.
I do have a couple hundred macanudo ascots sitting around and will get a little crazy with those from time to time.
Smoked cigs for 39 years, tried my first snus last April. Cig intake immediately went from 3/4 pack/day to 3-4 cigs/day. The beginning of October I put out my last cig and haven't even had the urge to pick one up again.
Thank you snus!!! And Happy New Year to my fellow snusers!
Smoked for about 30 years here......mainly hand rolled, but also a good 10 years or so smoking Marlboro Reds and then Lights. About a pack a day, or an ounce of hand rolling tobacco.
Decided that I had to quit for good and just switched to snus one day a bit over 2 months ago.
It was incredibly easy to quit smoking using snus - I had no craving for cigarettes at all - the snus just turned that off like a light switch!
I have snused since early Oct. 2007. Haven't had a cig for over a year now. But I would. I never really wanted to quit smoking, it just became too inconvenient. I guess the bans on public smoking worked, in my case.
