    Sorry LaZeR,

I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later. I broke down and ordered some loose.
And I already know HOW I'm gonna use it!
Dammit! I used portion snus to quit Copenhagen. Now it seems I'm drifting backwards. I intentionally stayed away from loose because of the similarities. Now I feel like a failure, in a way. What the hell.
I used dip to quit smoking, then snus to quit dip. I use los 99% of the time and occasionally "dip" it.

There is no reason to feel like a failure as it is still snus. Snus IMHO is way better than dip and where you put it and what type you use are irrelevant.

Loose tobacco is 100 times better than portion (or pouches) to me and you should feel like a champ using los and focus on the differences of dip and snus and try to not get nostalgic for a dip of Cope.

Also, since I've been doing snus I can't stand the smell of dip.

    Mike

      Not at all GS,

I used los to help me quit dip because it was similar. I doubt I could have done it with portions only. However the important thing is the snus . A step towards snus (be it los or portions) is a step in the right direction.

Snus on bro. It's all good 8)

You guys are right. I should just focus on the TSNAs and such, and be glad that I'm Copenhagen-Free for 5 months.
It was just a goal of mine when I converted to snus to not use loose.
But I DID accomplish my main goal!
And I won't use loose ALL the time either.

+1 Not to mention I use los only when away from my fiance as I know the grief I would endure otherwise. But yea, I know what you are feeling in regards to the cope although considering I don't need to spit and my gums feel so much better now, it doesn't really bother me.

dip as in the reference to American "dip" (a form of chewing tobacco) goes in the bottom lip and generally requires spitting although a seasoned user with a strong stomach can generally swallow small amounts of the juice without too much problem but generally leads to heartburn and/or an upset stomach or the shits.

I've also found "American dip" much more abrasive on the gums vs.s los snus and it is generally felt that dip being fire cured and more heavy with TSNAs which can be thought as more likely to potentially lead to various cancers.

"Dip" is really more of a Southern US term, it means a "pinch" of tobacco that you place in your lower lip. No, you don't dip the tobacco in something.
The moist American "dipping" tobacco is similar to loose snus, but generally has a much more robust flavor and when placed in the lower lip, it generates a lot of saliva, to the point that most people feel the need to spit the juice instead of swallowing it as with snus. The juice is also much harsher than the drip from snus.
