Top snus by usage

I still can't cook up a Top Five based on my preferences. I can, however, get geeky with a spreadsheet. Turns out I've collected 80 cans as of tonight. So I went to my little spreadsheet and sorted by usage. Based on the numbers, I have enjoyed General lös the most (or at least the most General lös), then General portions; next Ettan op and General white about the same; then a whole mess of others I like a lot. These are all the cans I've had at least three of, and this constitutes a top-five list of sorts, if you consider the seven-way tie for fifth.

I would post this in the Top Five thread, but I'm not sure it's really in the right spirit of that thread, so instead I'll start this exciting new topic.

I'm still working on a sheet of tablet papers. Getting ready to convert to a spreadsheet. What types of stats do you keep other than usage? Like flavor, lasting, nic hit, ect...?

I would be curious to peek at your spreadsheet. Oh and this is good information for me to know about your favorites. :wink: :wink: :wink:

I just use it to keep track of them. Brand, style, amount, and where they be. If I ever upgrade I may add date, but that's a lot of extra work. I guess I would say I keep track of my impressions of them in my head. It may be less academically rigorous, but it's more fun.

I have tried every brand, flavor and type of Swedish snus available today and can honestly say I still haven't really found a "Favorite". :shock:

I do, however, tend to use these the most often:

I wish I was consistent enough to do one of these as I am bored enough to put one together, but my snus use varies a lot. 0-4 portions a day, and I basically always grab whatever portion smells good at that moment. The only thing I have noticed is it is usually ettan or knox in the morning, and skruf tranbär or general in the evenings.

I guess I am not willing to taste snus that tastes like food until I've already had my food that tastes like food that day

I have not tried everything, but still a lot of things. I like a lot of snus, at least right now. Most of the things highest on my list I've had the longest; I started with General and Ettan, liked them and kept them around. This is a fun thing for me to goof around with and I guess it's one mechanism for understanding myself (deep stuff, this snus), but it doesn't tell me my favorite. I really can't say :?

Right now I seem to like a certain kind of variety, an informal rotation. Nothing set in stone, but right now I like Ettan or Grov with my coffee, then who knows. At some point, and throughout the day, there will be something bergamot. I like an occasional sterk, and an occasional LD Black (or Oden's ES Lakrits is nice; the licorice+sterk slap is awesome). Once in a while I'll have something "off the wall", Level or Gots green or gray, General Wintergreen or a Christmas snus or something.

I'm surprised I've kept up with this, although I will confess that its accuracy probably falls short of military-grade applications.

I'm with you there. Cranberry snus with my oatmeal! Great idea... not :? I want Grov or Ettan with my coffee--no. I want something that tastes like a wet cigar. I think I might start using Oden's Classic OP first thing.

The Odens cinnamon is called Kanel, and it's in Classic and Exta Stark, the non-cinnamon is called Original, and also in Classic(reg strength) and Extra Stark.
