Celebrating One Year

It's been one year today since I've smoked a cigarette. Not a puff, not a drag, since January 6, 2009. Of all the remedies I've tried over the past 40+ years, and believe me I've tried them all, nothing worked except snus.

So, thanks to snus and this wonderful forum, I'm looking forward to many more smokefree days.

Right on!Congrats!!!January 9th will be 5 years for me.I could of done it without snus,but I definitely did not want to.Snus is the best quit smoking aid,and I also enjoy it very much.

I haven't fully quit smoking because i do enjoy the odd cigar every now and then. As for cigs, the last time i bought a pack was September.

You wouldn't enjoy them now anyways. Especially if you bought name brands. I can't find any anymore that are not Fire Safe.

I "quit" over a year ago but I can't make the claim that I haven't had even a puff since then. 5 months for the last puff and 7 months since I had my last full cigarette.

Smoke free for one year

I too have been smoke free for about a year and a half now. Feels great. I am now running marathons and that is something if you knew me that I would never have imagined I would ever do.

Feels great my wife and friends don't think I smell like a bar anymore and I like the fact that I am no longer a "SMOKER"
