IMO this just comes down to snus is not for everyone. If you want to snus, salt is just part of the deal. After only 2 weeks of snus'in I was so used to the saltiness I didn't even notice it anymore.Maybe you should try another tobacco alternative.I know if I couldn't stand salt the last thing I would do is use snus.Good Luck!

      Great Job!
      Thanks.

      ElephantMan,
I would give up tobacco before I would go back to dip. Thunder Frosted doesn't bother me at all. Nick & Johnny Strong is good too. Can't wait until Clubsnus gets it.

Yeah I don't blame ya,I used to dip a long time ago, that crap takes like flavored dirt compared to snus, most of it anyway.

I have a friend who started eating right and switched from sodas to water and lost like 100 lbs. Looking at his before and after pics - it's insane.

I lost 70 pounds like 7 years ago. And I always believed a huge part of that was my giving up sugared sodas as well. I used to drink like 8 a day.

It sucks, I drink like 10-15 sodas a day and eat whatever I want and can't gain weight. My dreams of being muscular will never come to fruition.

Holy cow, nice job. Makes the 20 lbs I have been holding on to since i sympathetically gained weight with my pregnant wife seem very manageable but my son is now 4 and I think I may have added a few pounds since then. I don't really drink pop unless I go out to eat but sweat tea, Tang, and coffee have plenty of sugar as well. I still have a hard time switching to water only. Unless I really have a thirst after working out or something similar I rarely crave water.

My wife had no problems losing the weight since she is an avid Y member, does yoga, drinks tons of water and walks marathons. Maybe my elliptical trainer is just not doing it for me but it certainly gets my heart rate up and gets me sweaty.

I better get to it though since we may start trying for another child soon.

I used to be the same way. In fact, I think my blood type used to be Iced Tea. Now, I can't drink anything but water with a meal. I drink Diet Mtn Dew in the morning and one at night just for a treat.

                        Awesome.

Salt taste is not bad(IMO), sodium (overall) is the killer...

I'd have to agree that Skruf is lower in salt taste as is Gotlands, imo. The products that Oomph make are also salt free but, are minis as is Northerner Energy snus.

I know when I started snusing over a year and a half ago, it took a few months for me to get used to the saltiness and I figured that the salt was drying out my lips but, there was another factor to consider.

I was trying to get the snus to give up more flavor and was moving the portion around alot. This also caused me to breathe thru my mouth more and resulted in my chapped lips. I stopped moving the portions around and I saw less chapping. Don't know if you're doing the same thing but, it's something to consider.

                          Hope this helps!
