How much do you spend per month on snus?

$45-60 a month depending on which brands I buy or finding a good deal. I use about 12-14 lip fulls a day, between lös and portion. Add in another $15 for snuffs, but I probably only use $5 worth of snuff a month. I'm still trying to try them all, so I buy more than I use.

Smokes cost $49 a carton around here and I smoked 2 packs a day, so I'm still ahead by a bunch.

You gotta remember too, that many people here use portions, and don't keep them in so long. Compared to lös you get half as many portions per tin, and it costs more on top of it.

I'd say I consume ~$35 of snus each month.

That being said I don't look for sales. I'm loyal to the Northerer and now that they ship a lot of stuff from the US warehouse there's no need to look else ware for me. If Northerer has a sale that interests me and it's 'about' time to order I'll go for it but it's rare.

I spent $910 last year, my first year of snus'N. That is roughly $2.50 a day. Give or take $20 to that total.

I started out using about 3 or 4 a day and then slowly have increased to about 8 or so. I tend to use more when I drink, but I think most people do that.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with Markus and Joakim from Swedish Match in November of this year and let me tell you. I am a snubie when it comes to the amount used compared to the Swedish folk. They are back to back to back with the snus. They told me that most people use about a can a day.

Lets see, if I started at 8am, and I usually go to bed around 11pm, that's 15 hours, and there are 24 portions in a can, so, I don't even know. You have to consider meals, and some non-snus moments.

6 a day is just right for me.

It has long been documented that Swedes use snus very differently than we do here in the US. Average time in the mouth is less than 30 minutes. They would think you keeping a snus in for more than an hour is both gross and stupid. So if they chain snus, a whole can a day is quite easy.

6 a day is just right for me.

I get up at 6:15am, portion asap, usually it only stays in for 20-45min because then I brush my teeth. I chain snus all day and I pay no attention to how long they are in after the 30min mark. After 30 min I don't feel like it would be a waist for it to come out as most, if not all, of the nicotine has absorbed.

I don't generally get to bed b4 9pm and some nights I go to bed with a portion in because I love to have one after I eat and some nights I eat right before bed(I know how bad that is).

Most nights I have a couple of beers and I snus change more often simply because I think the flavor lessens when I drink and I like the flavor.

So call me wasteful if you must, but this is the way it works for me.

In case you haven't noticed, I am starting to get a bit snippy when *some* folks imply that others are somehow not using it "right". I am especially laughing my a** off at Americans who imply there is something wrong with the Swedish way of using snus.

Christi, there is NO right or wrong way. There is only your way. Use it however it most pleases and don't even waste pixel space trying to explain it

Now I distinctly worded my post expressing it was my opinion, and what worked for me. What works for others, as well as other's views, is fine with me, we all have our own ways we do things.

I also only keep a snus in anywhere from 15-25 minutes.So I can go through about 20 portions in a day,sometimes a can.Thats just how I enjoy my snus.There is no right or wrong way.
