Newbie!

I've been using snuff (skoal, cope, etc.) for many years. Met a friend from Denmark at a rifle match, and found out what I'd been missing!

Is there a "new snus user" post somewhere here? I'm on my third shipment from the Northerner (about 20 cans), tried all different kinds, and like them all so far. Have not tried the portion yet, never liked the "American" versions. I would like to see or read how the portion tools are used.

After reading a little, found out I was using snus wrong, placing it in my lower lip. Really looking forward to using it the "right" way to reduce or eliminate the need to spit.

Anyone find snus locally in Indiana? It's not terribly expensive to order, but it takes a while to get it.

Have to say that you can`t use snuff "wrong" by placing it under your lower lip: some find it better place but it`s true that it is much easyer to strike it up and its allso more effective there.. some old school users (for example swedish fishermans) :wink: who have snuffing their whole life find it better to put it under a thong, I`ve heard... and that`s brutal and wrong

I think the "American versions" of snus are also "European versions", if you take into consideration, that Europe not only consists of Sweden.

I like the Danish Offroad-snus as well as I like Ettan. There are many countries with a smokeless-tobacco-tradition. I don't think it's good for anyone to only stick with traditional Swedish snus. Just try as many different brands as possible!

For me, Offroad snus, with it's chewing-tobacco-taste is as good as any Swedish brand. And, if it were more easily available in Europe, I'd also try dip, though I'm quite sure, that it would be only a try.

I think I've been through about 10-15 cans so far, haven't found one I don't like yet. Currently trying Offroad original. Tastes great, but maybe a little too sweet. Really liking the Goteborgs and the R.L. Not sure I'll ever settle on one brand, I'm enjoying trying them all first....

Still can't believe I've been using the American stuff all these years and never discovered Swedish/Danish Snus!

My friends that use snuff have tried it, and most really like it. Too bad I can't get some sort of distributorship started!

P.S. Old Fisherman in Thongs is REALLY turnin' me on (NOT!)
