I dont know if there's something wrong with my taste buds or something else. The only time I can taste snus is when I puff my lips open with air. It's only started happening recently the more I use snus the less I can taste. Its becoming sort of annoying. Are there any tricks to be able to taste snus again

When I first started most snus tasted about the same if it wasn't flavored. Just stronger or milder. Now I can taste most of the things listed in the descriptions of snus.

Try putting it further back on your gums. I tend to get more drip and flavor that way. Use regulars as well. (I hate giving advice that has to do with regulars!)

i would deff do what he said and try "regular" or "original" portions, they give more flavor from the beginning.

i also recommend frequintly brushing your teeth and practicing good oral hygeane, not to say that you dont

Even after brushing my teeth/tounge I still get no flavor after 2 minutes. its really bothersome.

I only use regular portions or los, I'm not a white portion kinda guy they're too rough.

No cold no infections I'm aware of anyways. I can taste everything else food, drink, subtleties in beer and wine.

What I have noticed, is since a pocket was created the snus sits much higher. If i switch sides to where there is no pocket the flavor is more prevalent just much less comfortable.

Yea, I noticed that about a month or so after I started, they lost flavor some. Try sticking them further back, (behind your pocket) it will help.

Is your snus drier than usual?? Do you have dry mouth?? I suffer from both during the winter months and every can of snus I open automatically gets a few drops of water.

Even with my dryest snus I still get the flavor once it softens up, I would guess this is more of a health thing than the snus itself. Maybe keep trying different brands and see if you have luck though.

Were you recently a smoker? Or still smoking? That will kill your taste buds right quick and snus in general has subtle flavoring.

I tend to constantly flick my tongue on the pouch to get a flavor hit. Not so much a problem with strong flavors like Thunder or General ES, but when I use Grov whites, or General whites, I don't get much flavor if I don't mess with the pouch.

What flavors/brands are you using?

Mostly I use Skruf Stark portion when at work and when at home a mix of snusii from Phantom Brown los, Grov los, Gotlands Julesnus los, Gotlands Gray los, Offroad Licorice portion. It really depends what im in the mood for. I can taste the licorice a bit more but even that loses flavor quickly.

Yes I have recently quit and do occasionally have a smoke. However, I was able to taste the snus just fine before about a week ago.

Ive been snusing for a few years off and on, recently I have quit smoking with it though and started doing it much more often. I hope it really is a phase that will eventually wear off or that my taste buds are coming back from smoking.

Snus is very mild compared to most other tobacco products, IMO. I think that though it's much less in your face (except for Thunder) it's actually much more interesting as teh flavor develops.

I used to get a wild aroma from snus that I do not get any longer. In fact, I haven't 'smelled' it while snusing in years.

Try drinking a glass of water shortly after you put your snus in. This helps for me.
