First Lös Order

OK got one baked and have it in.

Just had to figure out how much to use and how much pressure to apply. I was forming it right to begin with but then applying too much pressure in the final shaping stage causing to break apart. I am surprised how well it stays together once it is in place.

Yeah, that fracturing thing it does, *just* when I have this lovely pris I give it one squeeze too many or a little too hard and then "d'oh!"

Interesting. Stronger in comparison to white portions. Lot more flavor too. The General lös tastes much better than General white portion. I really like the smell of it as well.

I usually leave portions in about 2-3 hours, I will see how long I can leave this in.

I wish I could say that. I guess I'm getting a little better, but I still usually toss them by 90 minutes if not before.

Well after a few days of trying lös I am finding I am really not a fan. 01 and 02 are perfect size for me, and it seems to be impossible to bake a pris small enough. I was able to bake small ones successfully, but by the time I started getting any flavor it was turning to mud. Sure once the prismaster arrives it may bake longer lasting prillas, but I am sure they will be too big.

At the moment I think I will just stick with portions. I am just not seeing the appeal of lös, portions are just so much more convenient.

This of course now leaves me with a prismaster and an unopened Ettan, Roda Lacket, and 2 General plus an open 3/4 full General to dispose of (well actually still waiting for the prismaster and 3 cans from Snus.com)

So I am willing to donate to the cause and send them to someone for box passes or whatever, just PM me with an address and I will send once they arrive (please indicate whether I should include the open one)

At least I can say I tried it, and while I may not have given it enough of a chance, I can tell that lös isn't for me.
