    Gustavus

Are there any other Gustavus fans around. I really enjoy the Orginal. It is heavily flavored and salty but I find myself craving it. I couldn't see it as an all day snus but for every once in a while it is a tastebud treat.

I haven't had it in ages, but I remember it being noteworthy and quite distinctive. I'll have to buy another tin with my next order, I think.

I love a good pris of Gustavus loose original just about every other day, mostly when trying to wake up. It has such a strong and flavorful kick/tingle. Definitely a fan of Gustavus here.

I tried the Classic Portion about a year ago and liked it. The only thing that kinda turned me off is that it reminded me of the taste of Copenhagen a little. Not enough to turn me off but it was the closest taste to crappy American "dip" I have tasted from a Swedish snus brand. I would buy again for sure though. Maybe next time I will try another style.

            Blasphemer! Traitor!

nah just kidding. i bought a can of cope smooth hickory the other day. not impressed at all with this shit. tastes like a mix between regular cope and skoal straight. woopty doo. cope black is their best flavor. and sometimes its flat..

            anyway
i would like to try out gustavus. but i have heard it is plasticy tasting at first. it is one of the few brands i haven't tried yet (mainly cuz it has been said it tastes weird and havent heard a lot good about it overall) I'll certainly give it a go next shipment. i've heard that the classic is not so great, is that true?

I am not a big fan of the classic. It tastes kind of like a way saltier Grov to me. I wouldn't describe the flavor of the orginal as plasticy. Kind of like a stonger flavored general with less citrus and some other flavors(maybe juniper?). I have never had Copenhagen, so I can't comment there. I haven't got to try the Gustavus Los but I am waiting on an order now.

I like the gustavus now and again.
Not a huge fan, but it's a nice change when I need something
                like general, but not general.

But I can't buy it here in Norway, so it don't
get to try it that often.

Gustavas Original portion is my second favorite next to General Original portion. I like the salty, peppery brands and this did not disappoint when I tried it. Plus, it's a cheaper brand and has a cool looking can. I'm a big fan of Gustavas Original portion. It also has a flowery aroma and taste. I hope my order from buysnus.com gets here very soon so I can crack open a tin of that fresh wonderful stuff.

I'm nearly finished with a tin of Gustavus Original portions. I like ti well enough. It does have a stronger flavor profile than Gotborgs Rape, but I find that after a couple hours it tends to start tasting sour. It's great if you take it out when it starts going sour.

It's also makes a good work snus unless I get stressed out. Then I just gota have my Skruf Stark. :P

I'm still fairly new to snus so I haven't quite settled on my favorites. But so far it would have to be Skruf Stark and Gotborgs Rape No. 2. Those two I will deffinately keep in my regular rotation. I will probably keep a few tins of Gustavus Origional on hand for when I want something different.

Haven't tried it yet but I have some Gustavus loose enroute from The Northerner. Hopefully it'll arrive this week.

I've worked my way through a can of Gustavus portions I got from a mystery roll, in the last week. I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me. I probably wouldn't order it until I try out the Gotlands brands, but I can see myself getting it again.

gustavus has it's moments, but it's not one of my favs.

I used to like it a lot, but I got a litte sick of it i think.
Maybe I'll try it out another time and try to stick to a couple of
                          cans.

Thats exactly how it went for me as well. Now it is one of my favorites. I am using more Gustavus lately then any other brand with maybe the exception of Gotlands Yellow.

I haven't had Gustavus loose in a while, but I found it to be a sweet, orange flavor. I really enjoyed it. I think I had too many tins of it in a row, though, so I got a bit tired of it.
