Really, really enjoying Phantom Blue (White Portion). :D

I've never been a fan of Phantom or Thunder Blue. I've gone on record with that one. (and again, these are my opinions)

In reference to Thunder Blue
Upon opening the can, there it was. That wonderful Windex smell (sarcasm). As soon as it hit me I knew it was a down hill ride. The portion tastes MILDLY (and I want to emphasize that word) of Juniper, and there are small hints of flowery notes in the snus itself, but it tastes like it smells, like cleaning supplies.

In reference to Phantom Blue Portion
The taste is very....artificial. I pick up a slight hint of berry and a little salt. You would think that's good, but that's only about 5 minutes in. After that, it starts to wear out on flavor and you're left with this weird, almost waxy berry taste that isn't that good. It eventually starts to get more rank, and after about 10-15 minutes, you couldn't pay me to keep this portion in.

Now, with Phantom Blue Los....it got a little better for me.

From start to finish, this is a great snus. What's very interesting about this is that the aroma is that of juniper, but the flavor is something completely different and unexpected. It has a very mild, sweet lemon taste. Sweet...lemon...oxymoron? I don't know how they did it. But I'm not complaining, it's a beautiful thing. The tobacco flavor is quite mild, and married very well to the sweet lemon taste, with a mild hint of salt. From the beginning to the end, the flavor of this snus matures and gets better with each passing moment. The longer you have it in, you'll notice subtle hints of juniper coming into play, but they are very mild, and in the background. They mix quite well with the lemon taste.

That being said, I'm REALLY enjoying Phantom Blue (White Portion). I don't know what it is...it's really a combination of things. Since it came out, I've gone through 2 cans of it, and the more I use it, the more I like it. The herbal flavor really grows on you, and becomes more pronounced the more you use it. The juniper flavor is very pleasant, and very balanced with the herbal flavor and a mild salt balance. Overall, the flavor of this one is very, very good.

I'm hoping others have tried this, and if not, I urge you to. It's very good, and even if you (like me) are turned off by the bad reviews of the V2 "Blue" line, I think you'd actually enjoy this one.

Phantom Blue seemed like a milder version of Gote Rape to me, which made it useable but not a favorite.

maybe youd like the reg portions of phantom blue if you were to give it another shot now. i find that juniper is very much a taste that needs to be aquired.

that said, not necessarily a flavor i enjoy in my snus. once in a while perhaps.
